Enjoying uninterrupted views of the award-winning Mawgan Porth beach, this fantastic beach house is surrounded by a third of an acre of beautifully kept gardens with a large, sea facing, sun trap decking area, overlooking gently sloping lawns and a pretty stream that trickles down to the sea below. Solar panels help heat the house and water while providing free electrical car charging for our guests’ electric vehicle.

Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas. Brambles Cottage is a beautifully appointed, one-bedroom cottage nestled alongside the owner’s house but with a private front door, garden and parking space and delightful rural views. There is a fantastic private hot tub in the garden for you to enjoy! The tasteful decor enhances the bright and airy feel and with underfloor heating, you can be sure this property is cosy and warm all year round. Dog friendly, Brambles Cottage is an ideal base to explore this stunning area of Cornwall. Although attached to the owners house, you’re completely private. A garden summerhouse with 360 degree glass so you can have a sunny breakfast or sunset drink even if it’s cool or windy. Together with the hot tub this enables you to enjoy the outdoors to the full on your holiday. New for 2024 is a high quality kitchen with all appliances and granite worktops.
There is a huge amount to do on the Lizard, from exploring the little fishing villages, Porthallow, Cadgwith or Coverack and sampling the local wealth of pubs and restaurants. Glorious clifftop walks, such as The Lizard itself, stunning sandy beaches like Coverack, Kennack Sands, Kynance Cove (which should be experienced), Poldhu or Loe Bar, which stretches from Gunwalloe all the way to Porthleven, tourist locations like Flambards, Poldark Mine or Goonhilly. The Helford River is beautiful and is surrounded by five little creeks, the most famous being Frenchman’s Creek, the eponymous title by Daphne Du Maurier based on the love affair between an impulsive English lady and a French pirate.
There are some breath-taking coastal walks, which really should include a trip around the Lizard Lighthouse, Britain’s most southerly point, on a clear, windy day there cannot be many more dramatic places in the country, the Lizard point is famous for shipwrecks and from May to October the Cornish coast is carpeted with a variety of colourful wildflowers. At the heart of the Lizard stands a 13th-century church, famous for its ornate woodwork decorating the end of each pew and depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament. Kynance Cove is a tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks. Poldhu Cove, also known as Black Pool Cove, is a lovely west-facing sandy beach suitable for lots of fun activities, from building sandcastles to beach volleyball and rocks to explore at low tide and great for swimming, surfing and windsurfing. Camellia Cottage (ref UKC1411), once part of a country hotel, is an ideal holiday home for families or couples seeking somewhere to relax and get away from it all, yet be in an ideal location to explore an area referred to as the Cornish Riviera. This semi-detached property, in the grounds of the owners’ home, has a large roof terrace that is accessed from the living area, and provides the perfect spot to relax whilst overlooking the green fields that surround the cottage. Making up part of a former country hotel, set in a large garden, Bluebell (ref UK10273) is a single-storey terrace holiday home which makes the perfect bolt-hole for two, boasting an open plan living space and cosy bedroom.

If you can draw yourself away from this idyllic spot, then the area is rich and diverse in tourist attractions, both natural and man-made. The area has some beautiful sandy beaches in pretty coves, which are backed by pretty cliffs, providing the perfect family day out. The village of St Ewe with its own local pub is close by and for more choice, the fishing village of Mevagissey with its working harbour, narrow streets, fisherman’s pubs and cafés is a short drive.
With cliff walking, kayaking along the River Fowey, sailing and sea fishing from one of the many fishing villages close by, Camellia Cottage really is in the ideal location to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer.
Caerhays Castle, and Porthluney Beach, are two beautiful little beaches that provide the perfect place for a moonlit stroll, or somewhere to practise building sandcastles with your little ones. A similar distance away will bring you to the world famous Lost Gardens of Heligan, the quaint fishing port of Mevagissey and the Georgian Port of Charlestown (with its resident tall ships). Further afield is the Eden Project, the capital city of Truro, St Mawes and the surfing beaches of Newquay.
The South Cornwall coast is home to many National Trust houses and gardens, which provide superb days out for all. Golf, horse riding, cycle hire and off road trails for walking and riding are all available close by. Beach 4 miles. Shop 1¾ miles, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

If you can tear yourself away from this spellbinding haven, the local area offers much to explore from the beauty of Looe, with its harbour and narrow streets to the picturesque village of Polperro, with its pretty cottages. Fowey, where a million shades of green meet the sea, has boutique shops, restaurants and pubs. Inland lies the energetic Golitha Falls, with its micro-climate and plethora of waterfalls, whilst the atmospheric Bodmin Moor is a short distance away, with its tors, standing stone structures and breathtaking views.
Art classes are available, held by the owner as are the incredibly popular ‘tiny weddings’ which can be arranged in the fabulous ‘Studio’, a licensed wedding venue, with its stunning stained glass feature, The Ocean Window.

Lanxton Barn is a stunning, reverse-level, stone property with a gorgeous open plan living space on the first floor, exposed beams, traditional features, a well-appointed kitchen at one end, dining area, pool table and living area with French doors exposing a Juliet balcony, a raised decked balcony and a six seat hot tub underneath. There is also a cosy snug room so children or adults can watch their favourite programmes without disturbing the rest of the household. Downstairs are five beautifully appointed, spacious bedrooms, two have en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom, this property is perfect for larger groups.
Lanxton Barn is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Coad’s Green, a few miles east of Bodmin Moor and with excellent access to both coasts, the A30 and also the stunning Tamar Valley. This rural location has very little light pollution and you can while away warm summer evenings gazing up at the stars above. There are dozens of excellent walks with Bodmin moor, the Tamar Valley and the north coast beaches all within easy reach. This is a working 100 acre farm so any dogs would have to be supervised and walked on leads if any animals are in the fields. At the top of the farm is the site of a hill fort with panoramic views stretching as far as Dartmoor. The farm has its own free range chickens and ducks with lovely farm fresh eggs available. Nearby are bluebell woods with wild orchids and there is single bank fishing available during the season. Lanxton Barn is situated on a working farm, with a local independent shop 3 miles away (not open late). For main shops Launceston is 7 miles away, but most grocery stores offer delivery. Beach 19⅓ mile.

Nancarrow is a large four-bedroom detached house which can comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests and showcases three bathrooms, a large garden, hot tub, children’s play area, parking for five cars and it is also less than a 15-minute walk away from the beach.

The house is very spacious with a large hallway entrance, living room, an open plan kitchen diner and two sets of bifold doors. The dining table and chairs provides a great space to enjoy a home cooked meal and the kitchen is well-equipped with a double electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and wine cooler, a large island worktop and a Smart TV making it a home from home. The handy utility room next door has a fridge/ freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room offers a cosy place to unwind after a busy day exploring Cornwall, with comfortable seating and a Smart TV with Freeview.

Head upstairs to discover the four stylish bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. The first has a super kingsize bed, a sofa bed, a large flat screen TV and an en-suite shower room. Two of the bedrooms each have a kingsize bed and share use of the family bathroom which has a bath with a handheld shower attachment and a shower cubicle. The fourth bedroom is set-up with two sets of double-sized bunk beds which can accommodate up to eight guests, plus a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room. There is a private garden with a large lawn and stone patio area, gas BBQ, outdoor seating for twelve and a children’s bench set. There is also a children’s play area including a see saw, swing, slide set and a football goal, plus a large shed for all outdoor activity equipment.

Nancarrow is perfectly situated just a 12-minute walk from Porthminster beach, 15 minutes to Carbis Bay and 15 minutes to the harbour. Alternatively, there is a bus stop at the end of the road which takes you one stop down to St Ives. Positioned south of St Ives, Carbis Bay plays host to a popular family beach and is often frequented by walkers enjoying the delights and challenges of the South West Coastal Path. The neighbouring seaside resort of St Ives is renowned for its artists who constantly draw inspiration from the landscape whilst also being the home of Tate St Ives.

Set within the gorgeous countryside of south-east Cornwall, with rolling hills, hidden valleys and meandering streams, discover this superb apartment, perfect for exploring both beaches and moorland. Situated between the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park and the mysterious Bodmin Moor, there are countless walks to be enjoyed and breath-taking views aplenty! The garden space is a delight; a private decking area with seating, umbrella and barbeque, ideal for enjoying morning coffee or to sit and star-gazing the sun has said goodnight. And of course, there is the ultimate chill-out space – your own wood-fired Scandinavian hot tub, great for leaving the hustle and bustle well and truly behind you!
To the south, a short drive takes you to coastal towns of Looe and Polperro or the villages of Cawsand and Kingsand all steeped in history with tales of smuggling and wrecking. Their narrow streets revealing an array of restaurants and shops and beautiful cottages too. The beaches on this part of the coast are numerous and offer coves, inlets and low-tide rockpools – perfect for children of all ages to explore! The beautiful towns of Liskeard and Tavistock have many amenities and superb architecture and are well worth a visit. Take the train from Liskeard railway station, all the way to Plymouth, where spectacular scenery unrolls before you as you pass through the Lynher and Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This vibrant historic naval city has marinas, the famous Hoe, The National Marine Aquarium and the Barbican’s cobbled quayside.

The Surfer’s Townhouse, St Georges is a bright, quirky and unique town house, close to amazing beaches and just 5 minutes walk from the large council car park Tregunnell. You can obtain weekly permits from the council, there is parking at the rear of the property down a lane, if you reverse in it would be easier to get out as the lane is a dead end. The lane is narrow so manoeuvring large vehicles may be tight. From the front bedroom you will enjoy the beautiful sea view. The property benefits from two living rooms one of which is set up as a TV room, a large kitchen diner and utility room. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and a further bedroom on the second floor. The back garden has a small private patio area great for morning coffee or an evening drink.
The property is furnished to a high standard throughout and features great extras such as wooden floors, fireplaces, equipment storage and is an ideal base for large families who want to be able to walk everywhere, enjoy the 7 miles of sandy beaches not only in the summer but all year round. Newquay is on the north coast of Cornwall and is popular with surfers and families. The owner has provided a separate room for storing your surfboards, body boards and wet suits and an outside shower so you can come through the back gate into the garden, shower off and leave all the sand outside! The nearest beach Towan Beach is 10 minutes’ walk away and a little further you will find the famous Fistral Bach. Within a short walk is an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and many attractions including Newquay Zoo, The Lighthouse Cinema, The Blue Reef Aquarium and Buccaneer Bay, a journey through old Cornwall’s coves and lanes complete with Pirates!
If you want to explore further afield then travel links by train or bus are easily accessible, why not jump on one of the buses to enjoy the beautiful countryside and admire the Atlantic Coast, you can hop on and off or go on one of the prearranged tours that are available, There are plenty of surf schools and activity centres to keep everyone of all ages occupied and to gain new skills. The city of Cornwall is Truro is 25 minutes drive away. The impressive cathedral dominating the view is a must to see. Why not wander around the cobbled streets where there is a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafés where you can enjoy local produce. West Yardley (UK31200) accommodates up to 11 guests. On the ground floor is a twin bedroom an en-suite wet room with shower seat and grab rails, ideal for those with mobility issues. On the first floor are a family bathroom and a further three bedrooms, one of which boasts a private balcony, tea making facilities and an en-suite shower room. The open plan living space features a good-sized kitchen area and a living area with a sofa bed.
The property features a private terrace accessed from the living area, offering marvellous sea views. Outside, there is a direct beach frontage and the properties are privately situated in established gardens, commanding an outstanding 180-degree panorama over the waters. Outside in the beautiful gardens the house has its own garden furniture with a barbecue, perfect for summer evenings. There is storage available for bikes or beach equipment, and an outside shower and dog washing station. Within the private grounds are a number of seating areas including a beach shack which features a rather impressive wood burner. Named Beach View, by night you can sit and enjoy the sunset and the silver moonlight shimmering on the sea.
The lovely village of Downderry features a restaurant, pub, coffee shop and a small shop all within a short walk. Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath leading to the charming fishing ports and villages with quays. Looe is within easy reach and scenic Polperro is an enchanting village with quaint, traffic-free lanes and a fishing harbour surrounded with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages. Take a stroll through the beautiful valley and woodland heading towards Hessenford or explore the coast and its fascinating rock pools between Downderry and Seaton, where there are pubs and a beach café. As one of the most easily accessed parts of Cornwall, you can usually expect to be on the beach just an hour after the Exeter M5 junction 31. Beach 50 yards.
