Welcome to The Cowshed, an enchanting place in which to relax, recharge and reinvigorate. Settled within beautiful countryside, where woodland valleys and meandering streams are plentiful, your holiday home has been expertly created to make both a welcoming and inviting holiday destination. It is situated in a 2-acre paddock with a garden surrounding the accommodation. It offers a bright and airy open plan living area, with sofas to sink into, an HDTV and a wood burner for those chilly evenings. There is also a dining area seating four and a superbly equipped kitchen. The Cowshed has an impressive tall ceiling – a real woodland retreat! The bedroom has kingsize bed, the ideal escape for a peaceful sleep after a day of exploring the area and its many attractions. There is an en-suite shower room plus a further sleeping area in the open plan living space for two more guests with another shower room and toilet. The sleeping arrangement can be made up as two single beds or zipped together to make another comfortable kingsized bed. It has a privacy screen to separate it from the living spaces. Step out through your patio doors to a private decking area, with furniture, umbrella, and a Cadac gas barbeque and your very own private hot tub. There is also a fire pit area where you can grill over wood fired coals and sit and relax with a glass of wine.
Because the area benefits from unpolluted night skies, when the sun has gone down for the day, sit back, breathe and take in the heavens, the magical Milky way spiralling above you. Bring your wellies as there is a short walk across the field to the accommodation. There is a luggage trolley to make this easy.
Venture further afield and you will find many places of interest right on your doorstep. To the south, a short drive takes you to coastal Looe and Polperro or Cawsand and Kingsand- all steeped in history with tales of smuggling and wrecking, their narrow streets revealing an array of restaurants and shops and beautiful cottages too. The beaches on this part of the coast are numerous and offer coves, inlets and low-tide rockpools – perfect for children of all ages to explore! The beautiful towns of Liskeard and Tavistock have many amenities and superb architecture and are well worth a visit.
Take the train from Liskeard railway station, all the way to Plymouth, where spectacular scenery unrolls before you as you pass through the Tamar Valley, an area of natural beauty. This vibrant historic naval city has marinas, the famous Hoe, The National Marine Aquarium and the Barbican’s cobbled quayside. The National Park of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor have breath-taking views and offer tranquillity amid a mixture of rolling hills, mystical rock formations, Neolithic stone circles and million shades of green foliage and endless walks and trails.

There is so much to do; Penzance town is full of history, the cobbled streets merge seamlessly with the large fishing harbour, visit the galleries or the gardens with their exotic plants, or pop into one of the cafés, bars and restaurants. The Scillonian ferry runs from Penzance to St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly, why not book in a day trip whilst you are here. Just next to Penzance is the fishing village of Newlyn, walk along the harbour side and watch the trawlers bring in their daily catch, the local fishmongers offer a daily selection of freshly caught fish and shellfish or if you don’t want to cook, pop into one of the restaurants and try the catch of the day. Obviously, the area has beautiful beaches, Marazion not only has a beautiful beach but is also home to St Michaels Mount, at low tide you can walk across to the mount. For nature lovers not only are there beautiful gardens but the coast paths offer fantastic scenery and multitudes of wildlife, at Porthcurno you may even catch a glimpse of a basking shark or dolphin. The décor of the property is quirky, you will always find something new, there are two large double bedrooms one on the ground floor with access to the garden and one on the first floor leading to the raised deck area. The third bedroom on the ground floor has a single bed and a raised single bed accessed by a ladder, older children will love this! The large open plan kitchen/dinner is ideal for socialising and the cosy sofas and chairs in the living room are inviting and comfortable, ideal for cuddling up with a good book in front of the wood burner or watching a good film on the 60” TV. There is plenty of space for your four-legged friends and children to explore, several sitting-out areas, ideal for morning coffee, or afternoon tea, at night watching the incredible night skies. If you don’t want to cook, head to St Just, a fifteen-minute walk or six minutes in the car, you will find a wide variety of eateries, catering to all tastes, as well as shops, galleries, and convenience stores.
If you want to pop into the Farm Market in nearby St Buryan you will be able to pick up locally sourced produce, if you want to try the local fish and seafood head to Newlyn. There is so much to do in the area explore the area where Poldark was filmed, visit the Tregeseal Stone Circle, Ross Wheal Leisure, and the Crown Mines below Bottalack. You can walk from St Just to Cape Cornwall, or follow the route Porth Nanven to Nanquidno, explore the beautiful coves and beaches, and watch the sunset at Sennen. If you fancy a round of golf Cape Cornwall is a ten-minute drive, surrounded by stunning coastal scenery it will be an experience! With all modern conveniences plus large riverside gardens, croquet lawn, viewing deck and BBQ area, and Swedish wooden hot tub, this is a unique quirky, and artistic haven to escape the rigours of everyday life.

The nearest beach is Sennen, approximately 20-minutes walk away (I mile), a large sandy beach surrounded by sand dunes, boasting two surf schools. There are two cafes and a pub in Sennen Cove (cafes open summer season only). No Place is well situated for amazing walking and hiking - it’s just a few minutes from the Cornish coastal path. Whilst you are here it is also worth travelling 15 minutes to Porthcurno, a superb beach and a fantastic area to explore. It is home to the Minack Theatre, an open-air theatre constructed on a granite outcrop jutting into the sea.
