This is a remote and wild area yet which has much to offer with a rugged heritage coastline, breathtaking cliff top coastal walks, Hartland Quay, the beautiful gardens at Docton Mill and Hartland Abbey. The popular village of Clovelly with it’s quaint cobbled streets and picturesque harbour, can be reached easily.
There are lots of local walks and footpaths close by, the village has three pubs and a renowned restaurant just a short walk away. The nearest supermarkets are 13 miles away in Bideford and Bude, but the local shops in the village are well stocked. Just a ¼ mile away is a post office, village store, café, fish and chip shop, vet, doctors surgery, a pottery and art galleries.

The area is a delight for walkers and cyclists alike, with an abundance of routes to choose from that take in the breathtaking scenery that can be found in all directions. Enjoy a countryside walk, right from your doorstep, down into nearby Staithes and joining onto the Cleveland Way as it snakes across cliff tops and down into hidden coves and bays. Staithes is popular with tourists and has a number of traditional pubs, a coffee shop and even its own independent art gallery. It has a fascinating history of pirates and smugglers, as well as links to Captain Cook who worked here as a child.
