It is ideally situated for enjoying and exploring west Dorset and the famous scenic World Heritage Jurassic Coast, and has a large, enclosed, lawned garden with a patio overlooking fields and footpaths towards Seatown. Wander over the fields to the coast at Seatown and enjoy some superb scenic coastal walking up to the top of Golden Cap the highest point in the south of England. Lyme Regis offers a great day or two out, with its picturesque harbour, sandy beach and famous Cob, where you can pass the time fossil hunting, boating, fishing, swimming, walking, exploring the quaint character shops, or simply wining and dining. Inland perhaps enjoy a cream tea at the Broadwindsor Craft Centre, or travel further afield to south Somerset and visit historic Forde Abbey and Gardens. Situated in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, these stunning holiday properties have been lovingly restored and furnished to provide wonderful retreats.
Auchendennan Farm Cottage (SLLX) is a single-storey holiday cottage; within the house there is a large family sauna which can be used as an ideal way to unwind. Outside on the sun decking, there is a sunken hot tub which is large enough for all the family and powerful enough to give tired muscles a proper massage. Rose Cottage (SRRG) is a single-storey conversion adjoining the owner’s farmhouse. Combining modern and traditional furnishings, the property boasts a superb hot tub and external sun decked area for relaxing and unwinding. Burnbeag (SVVE) is a stunning, detached cottage to the rear of the steadings and has a stream running through its private enclosed garden, which has a decked area and hot tub. Courtyard Studio (SVVD) is a single-storey barn conversion set in the courtyard, behind the main house. Chestnut Cottage (SXXO), Willow Cottage (SXXP), Primrose Cottage (SXXQ) and Ivy Cottage (SXXR) are all pretty single-storey, semi-detached holiday cottages, with open-plan living areas and a cosy, wood-burning stove.
In summer, Loch Lomond’s ancient oak woods ring with birdsong. Look out for redstarts, pied flycatchers and wood warblers. Ospreys are summer visitors to the loch and nearby Lake of Menteith. In the high country of Breadalbane, golden eagles may be seen soaring over mountain slopes richly carpeted in alpine plants. Watch out for porpoises and seals and glimpse Loch Lomond’s herd of fallow deer as they bound through the trees. Loch Lomond and Loch Earn are some of Scotland’s prime venues for sailing and water-skiing, while the rivers Balvaig and Teith are popular with canoeists. The Teith is also a great salmon river and one of many places popular with anglers. For golfing enthusiasts, the famous courses of Loch Lomond are just a short distance from the property, with an abundance of courses for all standards within easy reach.
Walking is a popular pursuit, from gentle low-level strolls to strenuous mountain climbs. Ben Lomond, Ben Lui, Ben Ime and Ben Vorlich are among the 21 Munros (mountains over 3000 feet). The West Highland Way stretches from the edge of Glasgow to Fort William, hugging the banks of Loch Lomond and passing through the spectacular mountain scenery of Strathfillan. There are great opportunities for cycling on and off road on National Cycle Network Route 7, which passes through the National Park from Balloch to Killin. Cameron House, the 5 star golf/spa resort is just minutes from the property where one can enjoy fine dining, day spa packages and championship golf. Lomond Shores, again a short distance from the property, offers designer shopping, loch cruises and an aquarium. The cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible by car boasting award winning restaurants, theatres, galleries and concert venues, designer shopping as well as many tourist attractions including the breath-taking Edinburgh Castle. In a rural setting but located just five miles east of the seaside town of Aberystwyth, and with beautiful views of the Rheidol Valley, Maes Rheidol is a detached property, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. With all rooms on the ground floor and with the added bonus of a conservatory and outdoor hot tub in the patio garden, you can enjoy relaxing in this wonderful location.

Picture yourself sitting on a sandy beach overlooking Cardigan Bay watching dolphins, cycling down country lanes, walking in the hills, or just strolling through one of many market towns. You can escape life’s hustle and bustle and enjoy this region in so many ways. It’s the perfect location to book a family holiday, a romantic getaway, a short break or a weekend away.

The dignified Victorian resort of Aberystwyth with its electric cliff railway, promenade and pier is close by, as are the compelling Cambrian Mountains, dotted with hill sheep farms, forest and lakelands. Take a stately meandering train ride on what was once a working link between local lead mines and the harbour; the Vale of Rheidol Railway now runs a steam train service through the Rheidol Valley terminating at Devil’s Bridge. Here you can choose to go and see the three bridges over the river, or visit some of the other attractions such as the famous Mynach Falls, Devil’s Punch Bowl and Jacob’s Ladder.

When you have finished exploring, the cottage is within half a mile of a gastro pub. Come and stay at Maes Rheidol and immerse yourself in all that this part of Wales has to offer, you won’t be disappointed.

Number 10, situated a stone’s throw from the famous Dartmouth Royal Naval College, has everything you need for a wonderful stay in South Devon, whilst being within walking distance of all the attractions Dartmouth has to offer. Take a stroll down the hill into the town, marvel at the masts of the boats as they bob on the river, enjoy a game of tennis right beside the blue waters or venture further into the vibrant town where you will find exquisite restaurants including the Michelin-starred The Angel Restaurant on The Embankment, or perhaps a lower key meal is your choice then you will be spoilt for choice.
Number 10 benefits from parking on the private driveway where you will be invited in by the porch, perfect for storing your flip-flops, walking boots or heels. The hall leads you into the lounge with a large bay window to the front, a great space to relax after a long day exploring the local area. The large kitchen/dining room is the brilliant space to gather while a sumptuous meal is prepared, a toasty fire is lit, and games are played on the imposing dining table. A very useful pantry leads off the kitchen where you can store all your local produce goodies picked up on your travels. A handy downstairs shower room off the pantry is perfect to refresh yourself before heading through the bright and airy conservatory to the garden for a dip in the hot tub, situated at the bottom of the garden with an adjoining patio. Enjoy a sundowner in the hot tub, stock up the fridge in your own bar in the summerhouse and join together for a table football game or even try your hand at darts! As the evening draws in retire to the conservatory as you watch the sun go down after a fantastic day. Upstairs are four very comfortable bedrooms, all with large windows, the bedrooms at the rear looking over the garden and rolling countryside beyond. Take your pick from one super kingsize or two kingsize bedrooms, two with an added basin and mirror unit. The fourth bedroom with a single bed is the perfect space for a child and adults alike. The newly renovated in 2023 family bathroom is a wonderful size and features a bath for those pampering evenings, or a large shower if you’d prefer.
Number 10 is a great base for friends and families, with so many wonderful features you will find it hard to tear yourself away. If you do manage to leave the comforts of Number 10, you will find Dartmouth Golf and Country Club nearby, the famous Blackpool Sands Beach in Stoke Fleming a short drive away and an abundance of boat trips to neighbouring towns from the River Dart. Why not hire your party a private vessel for the day and explore the hidden coves and beaches along the headland?

The Stables is a stunning property and sits in an elevated position with grand views over rolling countryside, just outside the popular village of Stanhope in the Durham Dales. Within the extensive grounds there is a variety of seating areas, picnic tables and loungers - something here for everyone. Completed in July 2022, The Stables has been finished to an exceptional standard. Care has been taken to allow for accessible entry for less mobile guests, or wheelchair users. The spacious open plan living space has huge floor to ceiling windows bringing the outside in, the leather corner sofas are positioned to take full advantage of this. A suspended egg chair is bound to be a firm favourite, while a wall mounted Smart TV provides entertainment. There is a large well-equipped kitchen/dining room, boot room, a utility room and separate toilet. The bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements on request.

Outside, enjoy a dip in the hot tub set in a smaller courtyard garden, a great way to relax after a busy day. Amble down to the fountain to find a quiet spot to read a book or enjoy an al fresco supper. As night draws in, take a warm throw to wrap up and sit and experience the amazing starry skies above. The children will love the activity play area. To cater for your stay, grocery deliveries from the major supermarkets are available, and if required arrangements can be made for a local Thai chef to provide meals on request (by contacting the owner).
The village centre is approximately one mile away with an excellent variety of local amenities, where you will find pubs, tea shops, cafés, butchers, bakers, and takeaways. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Stanhope is often referred to as ’The Gateway to the Dales’. There are many established walks, cycle paths, and routes running directly from the town and out toward some of the traditional villages. In the warmer weather, enjoy the Weardale Open Air Swimming Pool. Also ideal for children is the Weardale Railway which stops in Stanhope, and covers an 18-mile heritage line that chugs through parts of County Durham and has different events all year round. Other attractions include a visit to Raby Castle, or Barnard Castle with its lovely riverside walks and the famous Bowes Museum.

In a tranquil wooded setting beside Tunstall Forest and just 3 miles from Orford on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, this characterful cottage is perfect for walkers, bird watchers and riders. Visitors are welcome to bring their own horses, and stabling is available for 4 horses (by arrangement, direct contact is advised) as well as grazing for more. Although this is a peaceful holiday location, wi-fi is provided free of charge for those still wanting to keep in touch whilst away from home. Miles of quiet roads and forest tracks between Snape and Woodbridge offer lovely cycling, whilst river boat trips, Snape concert hall and craft centre, and Aldeburgh are all nearby. Located in a peaceful part of the popular fishing town of Whitby, The Garth benefits from a spacious interior and a lovely front garden as well as an enclosed rear garden plus a driveway with parking for two vehicles. In such a popular seaside town the convenience of having private parking is great, the property is opposite the local Rugby Club, which has a play area for children and a friendly bar open in the evenings. This three bedroomed, semi-detached house has been thoughtfully furnished and makes for a fantastic home from home, and is ideal for families, as well as couples and friends. As well as a comfortable living room with a large Smart TV and an inviting gas fire, there is a well-equipped kitchen, plus a dining table where you can all socialise together. Upstairs there is a master double bedroom with a wardrobe, drawers and a dressing table as well as an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second double bedroom also with plenty of storage and a double bunk bed in the third bedroom, along with a family shower room. Outside the rear garden has a seating area, as well as bike storage and is enclosed making it ideal for dogs. A dog crate can be provided upon request and a dog walker can also be arranged.

There are all year round dog friendly beaches for you and your pooch to enjoy close by, the nearest beach is only a 15-minute walk away. Whitby is a wonderful historic town with plenty to do for all the family to enjoy. Why not attend one of the many events or festivals such as the Regatta and Goth Weekend, or just stroll through the cobbled streets with its ’jet’ jewellers, independent shops as well as many cafés, restaurants and bars, where you can sample freshly caught seafood and take in the views. For outdoor enthusiasts the Cleveland Way is just a few hundred yards away, where you can turn left for Saltburn and Sandsend or right for Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. There is also a public golf course close by.

The Whitby coast is ideal for beach lovers and those wanting to take a boat trip out to sea in the hope of spotting a whale, or just wanting to enjoy the long stretch of golden sandy beach. The Victorian town of Scarborough is just to the south, with its Sealife Centre and the popular open air theatre, attracting top musical acts for all ages. Saltburn and Sandsend are popular with surfers, and the quaint village of Staithes is worth a visit with its links to the explorer Captain James Cook.

Head inland and you will enter the North York Moors National Park with its miles of beautiful countryside, walking routes and waterfalls. If you don’t fancy a drive, take the steam train from Whitby right into ’Heartbeat’ country. The medieval walled city of York is just an hour away and you’ll find plenty of attractions from The National Railway Museum to York Dungeons and The Jorvik Viking Centre. There is a rapid electric vehicle charging point within 300 yards of the property. Beach ¾ mile.

These purpose-built holiday cottages (refs 24574, 27255 and 27257) have been constructed or converted from the original farmhouse buildings and an old Welsh longhouse. Welsh craftsmanship at its best - only the finest local tradesmen and materials have been used for the conversion of these buildings. They are situated in an elevated position on the edge of Broadlay near Ferryside on the old pilgrim road to St David’s Cathedral.

There is generous amenity space, dog walking paths and a country adventure play area for small, accompanied children. The complex is on the local bus route which connects to Carmarthen via the hotel and Ferryside railway station. In the opposite direction, Kidwelly and Swansea are en route. Ferryside is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, due to its proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place. Kidwelly, with its Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport Centre, within approximately 10 minutes’ travelling time.

The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about half an hour’s drive. There are many places to visit including Dylan Thomas’ cottage, where he spent the last years of his life. The Millennium Coastal Cycle Path, part of the national cycle path network, meanders through approximately 20 miles of local coastline, passing through local areas of interest. Places to visit include Kidwelly Castle, the Penclawydd Wildfowl Centre, and the Loughor Estuary with views of the Mumbles Peninsula south of Swansea. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
