The traditional indoor market hall is open three times a week, and in the summer the town centre really comes alive with floral displays throughout the streets and the town square festooned with bunting. Outside of Nantwich nearby Audlem (15 minutes) offers a range of shops that attract many visitors, or you can cross the border into Shropshire and visit Whitchurch and the beautiful countryside that surrounds it. A little further afield is the county town Shrewsbury, or magnificent cities of both Chester and Manchester which can be reached in around an hour’s drive or by train from Nantwich station which is just 0.5 miles away. For those who like to explore the great outdoors you can pick up the Sandstone Trail in nearby Tarporley, visit the castles of Beeston and Cholmondeley or head to Delamere Forest all of which can be reached in around 30 minutes.
