The holiday property is approached through two wrought iron gates and overlooks the shared south-facing garden and circular gravelled driveway. Just minutes’ walk from the Penzance promenade and a short stroll to the delightful Morrab Gardens; famous for its banana plants and rare sub-tropical species. Set on three floors with an original staircase and high ceilings the property exudes memories of a bygone era. Penzance is an ideal location for exploring the delights of West Cornwall including the legendary Lands End, the white sand surfing beach at Sennen and the historic town of Marazion with St Michaels Mount rising from the sea like a fairytale castle. The Mount can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide or by small ferry boat at high tide. Marazion attracts birdwatchers from all over the UK to the marshes, a true wildlife haven. Penzance has a long flat promenade, leading past the open-air lido to the busy fishing harbour of Newlyn, one of the leading fishing ports in the country. Newlyn is also famous for its art school and galleries. Continue along the coastal path to the quaint harbour and village of Mousehole. The area has an abundance of restaurants, cafés, delis, shops and art galleries. Take a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly by sea from Penzance or small plane from Lands End airport. A trip to the Minack Open Air Theatre is a must, cut into the rock face with the ocean as a backdrop and overlooking pretty Porthcurno Beach with its golden sands and clear waters. - Bude, EnglandFairview (CWC561946) is a reverse level, semi-detached cottage with an entrance on the first floor and a large living/dining room, a cosy wood-burning stove, there is a west-facing conservatory down a couple of steps with sofa and access to a small private garden. A family bedroom on the first floor provides a level living area for those with a mobility issue. On the ground floor are further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Barn Cottage (CWC562587) is also a reverse level, semi-detached cottage with two bedrooms on the ground floor.
This is a real farm experience, fresh free-range eggs are available from the owners, and there are a number of walks across the delightful 150 acres. This is a dog-friendly property however please note that it is a working Beef and Sheep farm, so dogs must be kept under control.
Further along the coast is Sandymouth, a large beach ideal for families due to its lovely sand, rock pools and tea rooms. A short drive north over the border into Devon leads to the quaint village of Hartland which has a magnificent church with an amazing painted ceiling and one of the tallest towers in England. Hartland Quay has a hotel and Wreckers Bar as the coast here is littered with wrecks and is a lovely spot for some lunch. Also well worth a visit is the world-famous fishing village of Clovelly. The cobbled, traffic-free, high street is built into a cleft in a 400’ high cliff and tumbles its way down past whitewashed cottages festooned with flowers to the tiny working port. Beach 2 miles.

Boscastle, EnglandSarum is a beautifully presented, reverse level property with an entrance into the first-floor hallway leading into the large open plan living space, with a large expanse of windows exposing fabulous views across the valley to the sea in the distance. The living area has comfortable sofas perfect for relaxing into at the end of a busy day exploring the local area. Also on the first floor are two bathrooms, a family bathroom and further bathroom with large shower while on the ground floor are four bedrooms all with comfortable beds and storage; two double rooms, one room with bunk beds and the final bedroom with a sofa bed and access to the decked garden. A detached garage is available to store bikes, SUPs, kayaks, or boards about 25m down the lane.
The Elizabethan harbour of Boscastle is infamous for the floods of 2004 which devastated the village. Now it is once again picture perfect with a delightful selection of gift shops, public houses, cafes, restaurants, and hotels. Boscastle has one of the most outstanding sections of the coast path with majestic promontories, crashing surf, secluded coves, and long beaches with soft, golden sand. The stunning towns of Port Isaac, Rock and Padstow are a short drive to the west and are well worth a trip.
On Bodmin Moor, Dozmary pond is thought to contain Arthur’s Excalibur, and Merlin is thought to be still found walking under Tintagel Island. Camelford is a great centre for touring, walking, fishing, swimming, or surfing holidays. The town is steeped in history and has excellent shopping and sporting facilities.
