This quirky semi-detached property has an upside down layout with the spacious living/kitchen/dining area on the first floor.     Take a stroll into the centre of town and sample the many good restaurants and pubs. A must is a trip to Talkin Tarn Country Park, 2 miles from Brampton with its 65-acre lake set amidst 120 acres of farmland and woodland. The Tarn is an ideal place for recreation or a quiet stroll through the mature woodlands. No stay in Cumbria is complete without visiting Hadrian’s Wall, the most important monument built by the Romans in Britain. It stretches 73 miles from Wallsend, Newcastle across the neck of England to the Solway in north west Cumbria. Within Cumbria are Banks Turret, near Brampton and Birdoswald Roman Fort a few miles away. Due to its location on the banks of the River Eden and Solway Firth, it is a birdwatchers’ and animal enthusiasts’ paradise. From the garden or your bed you will both see and hear ducks, geese, swans and many other breeds of birds flying up and down the river onto the Solway Firth. Whilst you have the tranquillity at the property you are only minutes by car from the M6 thereby ideally placed to enjoy one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. From here you can not only enjoy the beauty of this area but also a quick drive will take you over the border into Scotland with its miles of dramatic coastline.
    Whilst staying at Solway Marsh View explore the many delights of Cumbria, a must is a visit is the beauty of the Lake District National Park with its stunning mountains and lakes.     The village is situated in the north of the Lake District National Park, and is also just a short drive to Carlisle and the Scottish borders - it couldn’t be easier to explore the area. Bassenthwaite is a real community village which hosts an annual duck race, frequent pub quizzes and a vibrant, active local church arranging village fates, sports days and even Morris dancing. This beautiful cottage is just over a mile away from Bassenthwaite Lake, where fishing and sailing are available, or for nature lovers a walk up to the osprey viewpoints is well worth the effort. The property is ideally located for cyclists, with rides including the C2C and Cumbria Way routes, along with off-road trails at nearby Whinlatter Forest. However you choose to spend your stay, this is a perfect location to make the most of the Lake District.
