The patio doors from the living room open out onto a patio area, the perfect place to sit, watch and listen as you take in the many sounds of the neighbouring wildlife. South facing, you will find it hard to pull yourself away from here on a sunny day. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make a hearty breakfast. Let the dishwasher do all the hard work for you as you head out to start you day. The utility room can take care of those wet, muddy clothes on damper days, and for a good night’s sleep, upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, with sumptuous beds. No need for awkward queues in the morning as there are two shower rooms, one on each floor complete with heated towel rails for cosy warm towels.
Outside is a large mature garden, ideal for your children or the dog to play in, alongside parking for two cars and a bike store. You don’t have to go too far to explore, as the estate grounds offer a wealth of activities, available (at cost) are laser tag, or bushcraft, and seasonal event days. Angerton Cottage is a delightful country cottage set in beautiful countryside yet close to the many and varied attractions the area has to offer. Refurbished in 2021 Angerton Cottage is lovingly decorated and furnished throughout, a particularly favourite room at Angerton Cottage is the living room with patio doors opening onto the garden where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife. In the winter the cosy wood burner in the living room is a joy.

With three comfortable bedrooms, a lovely kitchen and separate dining room it’s the perfect cottage for a family get together at any time of year and of course your four-legged friend is well catered for in the large, enclosed garden. From Angerton Cottage you can walk or cycle along quiet country lanes or jump in the car and you are in the heart of the Lake District National Park within half an hour where you can enjoy more strenuous hikes or just take in the delights of the lakes and mountains and the lovely towns like Keswick and Windermere.

A mile away in Yanwath is another pub restaurant renowned for its cuisine.
Tirril Lodge sits in spacious grounds with views over open countryside to both the front and rear. Activities available locally include pony trekking at Sockbridge and a variety of water sports on Ullswater, including sailing instruction, as well as some of the best fell walking in the Lake District. The house is ideally situated for exploring both the northern and southern lakes and fells. Situated just 2½ miles from the beautiful scenery of Ullswater, you can enjoy a trip around the lake on a steamer and visit the impressive waterfall at Aira Force.
