It is minutes from Lake Ullswater, with its walking, water sports and ponderous steamers making their regal-like journeys up and down the lake in the shadow of the majestic fells. This area offers many forms of recreation, whatever season you choose to visit. All three cottages have been tastefully converted from original old stone farm buildings; and wherever possible the original features have been retained. Old pitch pine beams stretch unhindered through bedrooms and across stairways and the local slate and sandstone are in evidence throughout. Guests are welcomed with fresh flowers, along with well furnished comfortable holiday accommodation, wood-burning stoves and well-equipped kitchens. For good walking, fells nearby include High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 10 miles. The market town of Penrith, 5 miles; whilst the attractions of Keswick are 14 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

The views are stunning, making this property an idyllic holiday location for adults, children and also dogs. The sitting room features an ornamental, traditional Lakeland fireplace and views over the gardens to Udale Fell. The gardens are continuous with the grounds of Ireby Grange Estate and there are no defining borders as a result. Guests are free to walk around the Estate which also includes Binsey Fell. The garden area is a haven for wildlife and the property is ideally placed to walk and explore.
There are many walking and cycling opportunities to be had from the door including easy access to Binsey Fell which provides a thrilling viewpoint from the summit. There is interest wildlife to be seen in close proximity including deer, and red squirrels.

Situated an acre of beautiful gardens and only a stone’s throw from the lake, with walks from the doorstep, including Aira Force where you can enjoy stunning views of Ullswater along the way. There are a few local inn’s and hotels that are within a mile from the property, serving hot homely food. There is much to do and see around Ullswater, from the spectacular Aira Force waterfall, to walks on the high fells or cruises round the lake on the Ullswater steamers.
