Those seeking ground floor accommodation will enjoy the Stable Cottages (refs UKC3741, UKC3742, UKC3743, UKC3744, UKC3745 and UKC3746). Stable Cottage 8 (ref UKC3747) is also arranged on one floor but there is a flight of stairs to take you up to it. Littlewoods Barn (ref UKC3737) and Baileys Barn (ref UKC3738) are also both single storey and enjoy a quiet position that is just a five-minute walk from the farm and all its great facilities. The Old Workshop (ref UKC3740) is on-site and offers light and airy accommodation for up to eight guests, and Dairy Cottage (ref UKC3735) and Pond Cottage (ref UKC3736) both boast a range ideal for cooking delicious meals. Dating back over 300 years, Moor Farm Cottage (ref UKC3734) has a lovely open fire to relax around, and Church Farm Barn (ref UKC3739) offers a cosy wood burner.
Keen fisherman will enjoy the on-site lakes and ponds, and fishing is included in your stay so there are no supplements to pay; also included is access to the children’s play area so you really won’t have to venture too far to have a great holiday. If you can tear yourself away, you will find yourself in Wells-next-the-Sea in just under half an hour. Here there is a lovely mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, restaurants, cafés, pubs and amusements. There is also a narrow gauge railway that takes you to the gorgeous wide, sandy beach and a much photographed quay. Equidistant is the bustling coastal market town of Sheringham, with Sheringham Park, North Norfolk Railway and two museums. Head along the coast and visit Cromer with its famous Edwardian seafront and pier. Travel east or west along this stunning coastline and you will find a chain of pretty seaside towns and villages offering marshes, beaches and quays. Make time for a trip to the medieval city of Norwich, with its splendid Norman castle, museums and guided ghost walks. Go shopping in the Norwich Lanes, alleyways of colourful independent shops, and then enjoy a meal, perhaps before taking in a show at one of the theatres. Built in the late 1700s, Hobland Barn had a number of uses, such as for cattle, grain and potato storage. It was renovated as a family home with light, space and the Norfolk countryside views at the heart of its design. Part of a cluster of similar conversions, Hobland Barn looks over sprawling fields, which can be viewed from the first floor balcony. Whilst it is the perfect rural location, the pretty seaside town of Gorleston-on-Sea is only 3 miles away, and if the traditional seaside experience is on your list of ‘to-dos’, Great Yarmouth is a little further, at 6 miles away, with attractions, rides and ice cream galore for all the family. Hobland Barn is ideally placed to explore the National Park further inland. You can take out a day boat, hire bikes or simply walk many miles along unspoilt water’s edge, taking in the nature, wildlife and simply just enjoying this unique landscape. History abounds in Norfolk and a trip to the fine city of Norwich must be on your list of things to see and do. With its castle at the heart, and an array of cobbled lanes to explore, it would take you all day and more to really experience all this city has to offer.

With the bus stop outside the park entrance, a great way of exploring Norfolk’s Coastline is by the local bus service, ‘The Coastal Hopper’, visiting towns and villages along the Coast Road. Sheringham has the headquarters of the Poppy Line North Norfolk Steam Railway, Splash and Fun Water Park, RNLI life boat station and museum, cliff top golf course, Sheringham Park (NT) and town centre with shops, café and restaurants. RSPB nature and bird reserves at Blakeney Quay, Morston Harbour, Cley next the Sea and Salthouse. An hours drive away is Holkham Hall (NT), Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall (NT). Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads offers daily boat hire and river trips available, shops, cafés and waterside restaurants. The medieval town of Kings Lynn (8 miles), complete with handsome waterfront offers an array of good shops, inns, restaurants, theatre, cinema, bowling alley and a sports centre. Both west and north Norfolk have an expanse of sandy beaches and salt marshes along the coastline, as well as nature reserves to protect the birds and plants which thrive here. The coastal road passes through many pretty rural villages, with popular tea rooms serving wonderful local food.

For those who enjoy a visit to the beach whilst on holiday, the seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham boast beaches and an array of traditional seaside activities and attractions for all ages. Hunstanton (22 miles) has a pier with lively seasonal entertainment, Sea Life Centre and cliff-top golf course. Heacham (20 miles) is home to Norfolk Lavender and visitors may participate in guided tours of the expanse of lavender fields to observe the harvesting. To the south lies Ely Cathedral, ‘Ship of the Fens’, standing proudly in the small city of Ely. Ely has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty water front and boat hire. The historic city of Cambridge is easily accessible for the day and well worth a visit. One of the nicest ways to explore the city is by punt, which meanders through the city and passes many of the stunning university grounds. There are also many shops, pubs, restaurants and theatres. Norwich, famous for its cathedral, is also within easy reach, where a visit to the stunning cathedral is not to be missed, as is the famous mustard shop, with many new and old varieties can be purchased.
