Upstairs are three spacious and beautifully furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a beautiful bay window and en-suite, has a kingsize bed and Smart TV. There is a further kingsize bedroom and a double room all on the first floor which are beautifully presented with attractive bedding and comfortable beds, perfect for a good nights sleep. A family bathroom with luxurious freestanding bath and low entry shower completes this floor.

To the rear of the property is a small, attractive, south facing patio area with garden furniture, a great place to retreat with a glass of wine after a busy day in the Dales. Alternatively there are many pubs, restaurants and cafés within a short stroll and all are well known for serving good quality, local food and produce.

Perfect for horse lovers, Middleham is renowned for its long history and also serves as a thriving racehorse community. Guests will be able to watch as top class racehorses are ridden daily through the village and up to the gallops in the fields at the edge of the village. The extremely popular Middleham Open Day is held annually on Easter Monday when you can take a look around the racing stables too! Middleham Castle lies just behind Milton House and was once the home of Richard III, and was referred to in former times as the ’Windsor of the North’. Middleham is a great place for families too with plenty of attractions to visit and explore within a short driving distance.

If you’re looking to get out and stretch your legs, guests who enjoy walking, cycling or even just exploring will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead right from the village itself through the Dales and beyond, with spectacular scenery, open countryside and pretty little Yorkshire villages. A little further afield, within easy driving distance, guests will be able to visit Castle Bolton, Jervaulx Abbey and Wensleydale Creamery, as well as Aysgarth Falls, Hawes, Gayle Mill, York, Harrogate and Ripon. This dog friendly cottage offers a comfortable stay for a family or a small group of friends. Hinderwell is a great location to set out to discover the North York Moors National Park, the nearby coastal towns, and villages, just a mile along the road and a gentle stroll from the beautiful beach of Runswick Bay, voted as ‘Best beach of the year’ in 2020 by The Times newspapers.
The accommodation is well equipped for six guests. It has a pretty living area with comfortable sofas, a spacious kitchen/dining area and three bedrooms. A variety of sleeping options and two bathrooms giving versatility for a small group. To the rear of the property, a few paces across the path takes you to an enclosed lawned garden area, a great place for the kids to play, while a summerhouse and further small decked area give far reaching views across pastureland and the sea. The rural village of Hinderwell makes a great base if you like to get out and about. The picturesque resorts of Staithes, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby are just a short drive away. Alternatively, the village is on a direct bus route into Whitby, perfect for avoiding parking at busy times. The cottage is close to two village inns serving good locally sourced produce and real ales; both are dog friendly. Other village amenities on hand include a family butcher, petrol station, churches, village hall, tennis courts, hair salon and a fish and chip shop. Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays and is close to rural walking routes. Ferndene Cottage is perfectly located to access the Cleveland Way National Trail and the Esk Valley Walk. Skipton is a small town with a big heart. Within a short stroll of Windy Dales Cottage you will arrive at the heart of the town with its wonderful canal path and pretty long boats, the market square and an eclectic range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Shop 10 yards, pub and restaurant 110 yards.

Situated in the village of Cloughton and built in 2019, Oliver’s View is a beautiful, semi-detached, three bedroom house of a very good standard with furnishings and décor to match. It is named after Oliver’s Mount that can be seen from the property to the right, due to the uninterrupted views across the countryside from the garden. A wildlife pond and the sea can also be seen from the garden. Oliver’s View is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in an idyllic village location. The village has a good bus service that runs between Whitby and Scarborough, and it also has two village pubs that serves food, one The Blacksmith’s Arms, owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, famously hosted Her Majesty the Queen for lunch!

Lying on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, the stunning scenery and walks that are right on your doorstep are wonderful. The Cleveland Way runs down the coast as well as the Cinder Path, the old railway line track that ran between Scarborough and Whitby which can be seen from the rear garden. Lots of cyclists and walkers enjoy this route taking in the fantastic views and historic sites.

Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough are just a short drive away, both very popular seaside resorts all year round and have excellent restaurants, bars and shops. Just a 10-minute drive and you can be walking round Peasholm Park or visiting the very popular Alpamare waterpark with its wave machines and splash pools. Scarborough is also home to the largest outdoor theatre in Europe where many international artists entertain tourists every year. The annual Scarborough Cricket Festival continues to be a real attraction to lovers of the sport. Oliver’s View is a great base to see what Yorkshire has to offer.

Located in old Whitby town, on Church Street, one of the most popular streets in Whitby which leads to the 199 steps and Whitby abbey, Annie’s Place is a duplex apartment above the owner’s traditional sweet shop. Situated next door to Arguments Yard, the most photographed yard in Whitby, the apartment has living space on the first floor with the bedrooms on the second. To the front of the property, you have views of the cobbled streets leading to the town, and to the rear you overlook the harbour and West Cliff.
Whitby is great for all age groups and is a very popular all year round resort. There are plenty of vibrant local pubs and restaurants as well as the independent shops and art galleries that adorn the streets into town. It is a bustling fishing town and is one of the most visited resorts in the north of England.
There is a large beach for your children to play on, and it is also a great place to walk your dogs as you have over two miles of beach leading to the next resort of Sandsend. To the north of Whitby you will find the small fishing village of Staithes, and to the south, the popular resorts of Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough. Beach 200 yards. Broom House is a wonderful, spacious, detached house with the convenience of a downstairs shower room, overlooking the grounds of Peasholm Park and makes a great base for a family holiday. It has a courtyard to the rear, a lawned garden to the front and sides, both enclosed, and is adjacent to the owners’ home. Two dogs are also welcome.

The property is situated within a short stroll down to the north bay beach or to the popular waterpark with a fun splash pool and wave machine. It is also just across the road from the wonderful Peasholm Park, one of the main attractions of Scarborough, with beautiful gardens and a boating lake. You can hire rowing boats or pedalos, and in the summer months, the lake plays host to a miniature naval warfare battle on the lake, enjoyed by many children of all ages over the years.

The town centre is just a mile away with some excellent bars, restaurants, cafés and shops, as well as the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of Alan Aykbourn’s premiers and well worth visiting. Scarborough boasts two bays, the North Bay and the South Bay, separated by the castle perched on the headland. The Marine Drive runs all the way along both the bays making it a great place for a long leisurely walk along the seafront. The North Bay is the quieter of the two, whereas the South Bay has the traditional seasides amusements, donkey rides and fun fair.

Scarborough is a great base from which to visit the rest of the east coast with Whitby, Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay to the north, and Bridlington and Filey with its award winning beach to the south. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is a short drive where you can view all the migrating seabirds especially the ever popular puffins. Scarborough has an excellent train service and you can catch direct trains to the medieval city of York, or it’s just an hour’s drive by car. The popular market town of Skipton is 3 miles away and offers a host of things to do for all ages. The Tour de France and the Tour de Yorkshire have both passed through Skipton and the surrounding countryside in recent years. The area is peppered with gourmet pubs serving local produce as well as hearty, traditional pub food, and there is a plethora of restaurants and bars in Skipton to choose from should you wish to treat yourself and dine out during your stay. For children you have the Sea Life Centre, Alpamare Water Park, Playdale Farm Park, Dalby Forest Go Ape and Activity Centre, Castle Howard, Wykeham Lakes Fishing and Water Park, Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo, and Mini Monsters indoor soft play for wet days, all within a 30-minute drive.
