    Penthwaite is a luxury detached, stone built property with a contemporary styled interior. The ground floor opens into an impressive living space with large picture windows, central staircase and open glazed gallery. There is a spacious, light filled dining room, with seating for 8 people with a living area and bespoke study area off. Settle down on one of two comfy sofas, to enjoy the glorious views, or switch on the Smart TV and tune in to your favourite films. The spacious boot room/utility just off the living area has ample space for your coats and boots.

    To the rear of the property, is a large contemporary style kitchen with fully integrated appliances, inviting you to rustle up a tasty brunch or supper. A smaller snug area with a TV, just off the kitchen, doubles up as a relaxing space to curl up with a glass of wine.

    All bedrooms are en-suite with high quality tiling, fixtures and fittings. The master with double bed, is a very pleasant room, with a Velux roof light allowing plenty of natural light. Bedroom two has a double bed, and from this room, there is one small step outside then level access directly to the side patio. Bedroom three has a single cabin bed with pull out single bed underneath. All bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with remote controlled Velux windows.

    There is much to love outside this fabulous holiday home. To further add to the wow factor, there is a relaxing hot tub, with views across the surrounding countryside. The owner would ask all guests to bring along their own shoes to get from the property to the hot tub; however fluffy bath robes are provided.

    Externally, there is a tiered flagged terraced area with comfortable garden furniture, perfect for alfresco suppers in the summer taking in the superb views over to Pen Hill, or waiting for the steam train to whistle whilst passing by.

    The thriving market town of Leyburn is literally on your doorstep. It boasts a weekly local market, monthly farmers’ market and quaint local shops, cafés and traditional pubs, making it the perfect base to enjoy walking, cycling and sight-seeing.

    Why not stroll along the famous Leyburn Shawl, or walk to Castle Bolton, Middleham Castle, Constable Burton Hall Gardens and the nearby Aysgarth Falls? A short drive away is Hardraw, home to England’s highest unbroken waterfall. You can visit the nearby Forbidden Corner attraction in Coverdale, where guests can follow a trail of follies, or head off to the Georgian market town of Richmond, which offers many shops, restaurants, pubs and tea shops.
