Head upstairs where there are a further two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a king size bedroom with another en-suite walk-in shower room, and a triple bedroom, each promising a delightful space to wake up to each morning. Upstairs is the main family bathroom with a modern bath and overhead rain shower. Head outside to the garden with outstanding uninterrupted views over the Cheviot Hills, a truly idyllic sun trap. Head into Chatton: a gorgeous country village nestled in the pretty Northumbrian Valley, bordered by the Cheviots. The local hotel and restaurant serving excellent food, a well-stocked village store and Chatton art gallery compliment the quaint village atmosphere. Keen walkers are sure to be impressed by St Cuthberts Way, a 100-kilometre long-distance trail between the Scottish Borders town of Melrose and Lindisfarne off the coast of Northumberland, named after a 7th-century saint. The nearby town of Wooler is set along the last leg of the journey, so you needn’t traverse the full length. Wooler itself is just under 4 miles away and features a good range of shops, pubs, restaurants, and facilities. If you fancy something exciting, why not visit Chillingham Castle, only a short drive away, and book onto one of their ghost tours! Why not try something a little different? Discover your inner country-self and try clay pigeon shooting at Fowberry Moor Farm in Wooler, where they also offer wine tasting!
A 20-minute drive brings you to the popular village of Bamburgh a stunningly attractive small village set on the northern stretch of the Northumberland Coast. It is without doubt dominated by its magnificently striking castle that can be seen for miles around. Why not hit the waves yourself with a trip to the Farne Islands? Take a boat trip from Seahouses and see the Medieval Pele Tower and Victorian Lighthouse, as well as the famous seabird colony. Depending on the time of year, you might catch a glimpse of the friendly seals and puffins that visit the islands’ shores. Golfers flock to Bamburgh, where the Bamburgh Castle Golf Club offers a particularly picturesque round. It’s short but tough and boasts some of the best views in the country! There are no direct bus routes in or out of the village, however, Newport (approximately 11 minutes’ drive away) and Market Drayton (approximately 11 minutes’ drive away) offer supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants to suit all tastes along with the weekly country market, monthly farmers’ market, canal walks and swimming pools/leisure centres, you have the ideal places to discover on your holiday.
Ironbridge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, (approximately 32 minutes’ drive away), has plenty to see and do for all the family. Shrewsbury (approximately 30 minutes’ drive away), where ’A Christmas Carol’ was filmed on location, is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat. The River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, the castle and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline. Riverside Mill is a real gem of a traditional cottage, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of a riverside location yet just 4 miles from lively and bustling Kendal and the Lake District National Park. Beautifully renovated, Riverside Mill offers superb accommodation and is perfect for a family or group of friends who want to explore this picturesque corner of the country, whatever the time of year. The first thing that strikes you about this beautiful single-storey cottage, built from the local stone, is the stunning location, right on the banks of the River Mint.
Step inside and there’s a large and character filled open-plan living and formal dining area, split over two levels, with original exposed cruick beams and a magnificent inglenook fireplace with wood burner. Sumptuous sofas are ideal for curling up in front of the fire on a cool evening. There are huge glazed doors with access to the balcony, making this room not only light and airy, but making the most of those fabulous riverbank views. The breakfast-kitchen is fully equipped and the cosy cottage atmosphere and lovely views make this the perfect place to start the day. All the accommodation is on the same level with a magnificent master bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single with lovely river views. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.
But it’s outside where you’ll want to spend as much time as possible at this fabulous holiday destination, listening to the babbling of the river as it flows through the mill race in the garden. Outside you will find the private hot tub that accommodates 6 guests, and also the Glamping Pod that sits nestled next to the river and the waterfall, offering an extra bathroom and sleeping up to four, this cosy addition has underfloor heating and is sure to delight any guests looking for a memorable location and stay. There’s a courtyard garden to make the most of the views, and a fabulous decked balcony that gives you incredible views of the mill race and waterfall - it’s the perfect spot to relax with a drink after a busy day in the Lakes. Rock is a 5 mile drive from Post Isaac, where you can enjoy the many watersports on offer. You can walk or cycle along the Camel Trail, a disused railway line that follows the Camel Estuary to the market town of Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin. The well-equipped kitchen and dining room combine a large original 19th Century farmhouse table, American style fridge/freezer and tall larder fridge, and ample cutlery and crockery alongside two dishwashers to create the perfect hassle-free space to host family gatherings or reunions amongst friends.

There is also a cloakroom, shower room, kitchen, dining room and a sitting room with a gas fire and panoramic views of the countryside and river stour. There is a large, enclosed garden, featuring a large hot tub and outdoor seating area, as well as off-road parking for two cars.
Saskia’s Place is the perfect location for an indulgent escape to Suffolk. Brantham village has a small village shop which is open daily. Larger supermarkets and shops can be found in Manningtree, Ipswich, and Colchester. A few minutes’ walk from the cottage is the Brantham Bull pub, an inn dating from the 16th century.
Jimmy’s Farm, owned and run by Jamie Oliver’s friend Jimmy Doherty, is off the A137 to Ipswich at Wherstead. You can take a trip to Alton Water, a large reservoir, with nature trails, cycle hire, sailing and footpaths.
There are several attractions in the towns of Ipswich and Colchester, including a Norman Castle, Roman ruins, and a zoo, while historic Ipswich is home to the historic Christchurch Mansion, as well as a newly revitalized waterfront. For security purposes the owner has CCTV installed covering the exterior of the property.

Mark Farmhouse is an early 20th century, traditional weatherboard farmhouse, deep in the Essex countryside. A perfect base from which to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities on the nearby coast and in the surrounding countryside, or to make visits to the county’s historic towns and villages. There is a dog friendly beach within 3 miles.
Located on an organic farm, Mark Farmhouse provides space, peace and tranquillity in which to relax and unwind. Modern facilities, wooden floors and comfy furniture combine with original fireplaces in several rooms. A large, yet cosy living room is the perfect room for adults to chat over a cup of tea or glass of fizz while the children play games or catch up on TV in the snug next door. A door leads from here through to the dining room. Walk through to the kitchen where you can sit and drink your morning coffee at the breakfast bar and look out towards the coast or spot the many different birds just beyond the window. A step down from the kitchen leads to the utility room, great for storing muddy boots or cleaning the dog after a walk in the fields. There is also a downstairs shower room and toilet.
Upstairs the light, double-aspect, kingsized bedroom overlooks the organic farmland. A further two bedrooms both with zip and link beds are on this floor, as well as a children’s bedroom with a single bed and cot. A family bathroom and separate toilet can also be found on this level. Springholm is a lovely, quirky, terraced holiday cottage situated in the beautiful village of Bootle, on the west coast of the Lake District National Park. Built in 1757, Springholm has been used as a home and carpenter’s workshop before being re-converted in 1991. Bootle is one of the oldest and smallest market towns in Britain, with a population of about 700. The market charter was granted in 1348 by King Edward III. Springholm looks out onto the fells and there is easy access to Bootle Fell, Corney Fell, Birker Fell and Black Combe. The stunning high fells around Wasdale - including Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England - are just 15 miles away. Roman ruins and light railway at Ravenglass estuary are 8 miles away, Muncaster Castle and World Owl Sanctuary, 7 miles. Eskmeals beach is 1 mile, other good beaches at Haverigg and Silecroft.
