Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Also found on the side of the River Arun is the Windmill Independent cinema and a plethora of cafes at Harbour Park seaside amusements.
Littlehampton Fort is located at the end of Rope Walk, on the west side of the River Arun and just 330 yards south west of the Windmill Theatre. Littlehampton is the ideal base from which to discover the South Downs and coast. Less than an hour away down the coast East is Brighton with its nightlife and theatres which features The Theatre Royal Brighton, which is one of the oldest and most distinguished theatres in the country. Less than a 30-minute drive up the road you’ll discover historic medieval towns of Chichester and Arundel. Just a short drive away are the nearby towns of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, which offer even more choice.
