Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled with shower chairs available), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. 17320 also has a worktop which has been lowered for wheelchair access to the sink in the kitchen. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

Dating back to the 1600s, The Old Dairy justifies its name. However, it has been beautifully renovated to a high specification with modern and luxurious touches throughout, and is now a wonderful self-catering cottage for two in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.
The kitchen has been cleverly designed with a large hatch overlooking the sitting room area, the perfect way to both show off your culinary skills and enjoy the warmth of the wood burner roaring away in the corner. The conservatory provides a lovely sunny room to dine or doze in on a warm summer’s day, with gorgeous views over the paddocks. After dinner you can curl up, open a book or simply enjoy each other’s company in this relaxed country retreat. If you would like use of a freestanding fridge/freezer please advise before you arrive so access to it can be organised.
Why not bring your horses? This cottage benefits from its own stabling on site and, what’s more, the conservatory looks out over the paddocks where your horses can graze. Equestrian facilities are on offer for up to three horses (by prior arrangement at an additional cost): DIY livery including stabling, grazing paddocks, a lockable tack room and large lorry/horsebox parking on site. Centrally located for all things equestrian: hunts, several competition centres such as Coombelands,Hickstead, Goodwoord, polo clubs (Cowdray, Knepp and Hurtwood), flat racing, point to points at Parham or just hacks (including on the beach). You can explore the countryside on horseback as well as walking and/or cycling in the area.
Why not head out in the morning and return for an invigorating shower in the stunning white-tiled wet room, or take a picnic and wander into the evening skies to watch the sunset with a cold bottle of bubbles. Either way, a wonderful holiday experience in this quiet part of rural Sussex.

A superb detached seaside holiday home, designed by a local resident architect, located on the highly desired and private Elmer Sands estate and only a stone’s throw away from Elmer Beach.
Drift In can accommodate up to twelve guests under the one roof and is dog friendly too. This is a perfect house for a large family get together on the west Sussex coast, the accommodation can be split into two; one side, the larger main house has four bedrooms sleeping up to eight, whist the other side has two bedrooms, sleeping four. There is a single connecting door between the two living rooms and both sides have their own fully equipped kitchens. For any less able bodied guests, there is a level entry access into the house and rear garden and in the annexe, there is a double bedroom on the ground floor with a kingsize bed as well as a ground floor bathroom on the same level for a comfortable stay. Outside to the front there are two driveways, one for either side of the house, providing parking for multiple vehicles as well as side access to the enclosed lawned garden. There are decked areas with seating both to the front and rear of the house for alfresco dining.
This lovely property is situated on the eastern side of Elmer, within a few hundred yards from the beach and foreshore. The beach at Elmer Sands is dog friendly and allows dogs all year. As the tide goes out the beach expands into flat compact sand and you get some interesting rock islands which form part of the local sea defence which is great searching for crabs and shells. It is an excellent family beach for all ages and well suited for beach games, rock pools and at low tide the water is very shallow making ideal conditions for swimming and beginners water sports. At mid to low tide there is a nice easterly walk towards Climping Beach where you can enjoy a cake and ice-cream before heading back home.
The villages of Elmer and Middleton-on-Sea are easily reachable within a short walk of leaving the property with a few pubs, restaurants and village shops to explore. The nearest towns of Bognor Regis and Littlehampton offer even more choices and are only a short drive away. This property really is a perfect base to enjoy a beach holiday but when you want to get out and explore a little further afield, then there are plenty of activities to choose from. Take a trip to Chichester, where you can visit the town’s 12th-century cathedral and admire an area that is steeped in history, pay a visit to Arundel with its historic castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Fontwell Park Racecourse and, of course, no visit to West Sussex is complete without frequenting the spectacular Goodwood Estate, home to the world famous Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Goodwood Festival, where you can enjoy an event at the racecourse, or simply just walk round and admire the beautiful estate. You can of course also jump on the train at Bognor Regis station and travel east towards Brighton, which is known for its cosmopolitan feel and has the Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres, extensive shopping, pier and marina to explore. Alternatively, head along the rails west to Portsmouth and visit its historic dockyard, admire the Spinnaker Tower, historic ships or enjoy waterside dining and shopping at Gunwharf Quays and finally for an excellent day trip, you could even take a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. For a cultural and historical experience, you can visit Rustington Museum, which explores the village’s history from the Stone Age to the modern day with artefacts from throughout time. You can also admire the high tower of the Church of Saint Peter and Paul in Rustington, which dates back to the 12th century and contains some of the finest stained glass windows in Sussex.

Goatchers Cottage and Goatchers Studio are situated in the pretty garden of the owner who lives at the property location and renovated the properties to the highest levels. Both have amazing beds, one being a French Antique and the other being a four poster. The properties are located in The South Downs National Park in the pretty village of Findon which is a semi-rural clustered village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, England, 4 miles north of Worthing.
Located very close to Cissbury Ring which is owned by the National Trust and is designated a Scheduled monument for its Neolithic flint mine and Iron Age hillfort. Cissbury Ring is the largest hill fort in Sussex, the second largest in England and one of the largest in Europe overall, covering some 60 acres. The village has a couple of traditional pubs serving amazing food as well as a few restaurants all within a short walk. If mountain biking is your thing then you are in for a real treat as there are plenty of trails locally that will get the blood pumping.
Brighton is located just over 14 miles to the East and Worthing beach is just 5 miles South and being submerged in The South Down National Park there is plenty of opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the world. Just park up and walk through the gates to the properties where you will find some great hospitality from the owners. Both of these properties are newly renovated and of the highest standard with some sitting out space which is literally bathed in the sunshine all day.
