This stunning pet friendly holiday home is located in Stowupland in central Suffolk close to the market town of Stowmarket which enjoys a main line train link to London Liverpool Street. It is within easy driving distance of the cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket the home of racing, Cambridge, Clare, Long Melford and Lavenham to the west and the Heritage Coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Woodbridge and Thorpeness to the east.

Barn End Cottage is a luxurious semi-detached barn conversion set in the grounds of the owner’s home, and was completely renovated in 2019. It is all on the ground floor and wherever possible the owners have retained the barns original features. On approach, you will come up a private drive flanked by natural paddocks. The property is ahead of you with originally styled shutter doors over the floor to ceiling windows. The open plan living space is light and airy with beams but equally cosy with the wood burner. To the back of the barn you can enjoy the private garden with a sun terrace. In the grounds, guests can enjoy walks but also have access to the owner’s tennis court.

Here, you are hidden away in the Suffolk countryside and excellently located to explore this superb area, with the historic market towns of Framlingham and Saxmundham close by. Cycling and walking are well catered for here, with lovely countryside trails to explore and beautiful scenery along the way. The coast is equally close by with Southwold, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh a short drive away or accessible via public transport. You will not be lost for things to see and do in this beautiful location. Cherry Garth Cottages are located in the centre of Thornton le Dale, ’Yorkshire’s little gem’. Cherry Blossom has been named after the cherry trees which border the garden. The cottage has been built from beautiful traditional Yorkshire stone, and is tucked away in the grounds of the owner’s home Cherry Garth. It has an open plan living area with a welcoming wood burner to snuggle up in front of after a busy day out exploring the spectacular Yorkshire coast and countryside, and upon arrival you will be welcomed with a lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. There are lovely views from the property onto the garden and the bedroom window overlooks the paddock, where sheep graze.

The picturesque village of Thornton le Dale is located on the edge of the North York Moors, a mere one mile from Pickering. From here you can take a ride on the famous steam train to Grosmont, Goathland (aka Aidensfield in the classic TV series Heartbeat) and the seaside town of Whitby where you can climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey. Those looking for a quieter pace of life may prefer to walk the many footpaths and bridleways over the North York Moors.

The Challoners is nestled in the heart of the East Sussex Weald and redefines what to expect from a premium glamping holiday experience. The pretty village of Robertsbridge is just a mile away and offers a general store, local pub, and award-winning Indian restaurant. Both the local pubs are also dog friendly and the Salehurst Halt has a large dog-friendly garden. Bewl Water is 7 miles away and offers various water sports and the Bodiam Boating Station is 10 miles away which offers river cruises and boat hire for a more relaxed day out or kayaking for the more adventurous. You can also explore Bodiam Castle 3 miles away and a little further afield are Battle, the Cinque Ports town of Rye and the coastal town of Hastings. The area between Robertsbridge, Rye and Pevensey is called ‘1066 Country’ and boasts a host of tourist and leisure attractions, including Great Dixter, Bodiam Castle and Smallhythe Place. For those wanting to venture back to the time of steam trains, visit the Kent and East Sussex Railway and take a trip from Bodiam to Tenterden in one of the lovely old carriages. Visit the moated castle at Bodiam built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, only a 10-minute drive.

This cosy detached cottage making a romantic retreat, is Grade II listed and dates back to 1760. Outside there is a large, enclosed, riverside garden, on the opposite side of a road that leads directly into the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Although shared with the owners it is available to guests and their pets to enjoy at all times. Within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, East Ayton is a village just a few minutes’ drive from the seafront at Scarborough. The village has all the amenities you could wish for with a post office, shop, garage and local pub as well as an excellent fish restaurant. The cottage is just off the main street on the lane leading further into the National Park and towards Hackness. This property is an ideal place for the walkers or cyclists amongst you, with great trails right on your doorstep. From the large riverside orchard garden there are open views across the valley to the castle that dates back to 1390. Cycling is also very popular in the area as this forms part of the Tour de Yorkshire route. The Dalby Forest is close by with cycle trails for all abilities and home to the World Cup Trail, a challenging 4 mile route, or for beginners, there are plenty more leisurely routes. The cottage is an ideal base to visit all that Yorkshire has to offer from the North Yorkshire Moors to the Wolds and the beautiful east coast, and coarse fishing is available direct onto the River Derwent at the bottom of the garden with brown trout and grayling. Ancient walls, originally built by the Romans, encircle its medieval centre with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses. Canterbury Cathedral, founded in 597 AD, is the headquarters of the Church of England and Anglican Communion, incorporating Gothic and Romanesque elements in its stone carvings and stained-glass windows. Canterbury is only 6 miles from the beaches of Herne Bay and Whitstable a tiny bit further allows you to indulge yourself in the golden sandy beaches of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate too! Canterbury has a great mixed selection of culinary cuisines to choose from to visit from the traditional old-style English pub to your Michelin star restaurants and everything else in between. In close proximity to Battle, with its famous battlefield and abbey, built to commemorate the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Relive one of the most famous days in history, and join the 1066 walk from the doorstep. Take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway from Tenterden, also known as ’The Jewel of the Weald’, through the Rother Levels to Bodiam, one of the most evocative moated castles (National Trust), built in 1385. Discover the one time coastal smuggling town of Hastings and medieval Cinque Port town of Rye with its cobbled streets. Picturesque sand dunes and interesting wildlife can be explored at Camber.
