    The Old Stable is a beautiful one-bedroom detached barn conversion which can accommodate up to four guests. Newly renovated in 2021 to a luxurious standard with plenty of character, beamed ceilings, bifold doors and stylish furnishings. The property is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with breathtaking views over the Mendips and the Chew Valley Lakes.
    The property is set over two floors with a bright and spacious living area which has a Freeview Smart TV and two sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed that can accommodate an additional two guests. The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/ dryer, built-in microwave, fridge freezer, quartz worktops, a butler style sink and a table and chairs. The shower room leads off the living area and is fitted with a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin.
    Upstairs, guests will enter into a galleried sleeping area which has a comfortable kingsize bed, built in drawers, bedside tables, hanging hooks and an armchair. The patio area at the back of The Old Stable is a real suntrap with two set of bistro tables and chairs, overlooking the views of the Mendips and the Chew Valley Lakes. Perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or glass of prosecco on a summer evening.
    With brilliant walking routes all around, The Old Stable is a perfect back drop to days out. Within a 30-minute walk is the village of Chew Magna with three great pubs, a café/gift shop, fish bar, butcher, pharmacy and a shop. The property is close to the well-known Chew Valley Lake and Reservoir, and also to an abundance of great walks and popular tourist attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor and Wells Cathedral. The seaside is also close by at Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon.
    There is a Michelin star restaurant under a mile away, where people visit from all around to sample the delicious dishes and local ales that are on offer. Located between the cities of Bath, a World Heritage Site, with its beautiful Georgian architect and home to The Roman Bath and Thermae Spa, and Bristol, with its famous designer shopping, alongside many amazing sites and attractions.

    Step into Christmas (Cottage), this unique maisonette which dates back to the 1800’s has been expertly restored to its former glory. Built into the famous Cheddar Gorge this is one property you will not want to miss.
    Entering via a metal side gate up a flight of steep stairs, you arrive to the lower deck, perfect for people watching or enjoying the summer sun. Enter directly into the kitchen/dining area where you are welcomed to a large space for the whole family to enjoy their evening meal or breakfast with views across the River Yeo and park. The kitchen is fitted with double electric oven, gas hob, integrated fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave and is also decorated at christmas with garlands above the top cabinets, festive bunting and fair lights. Stepping through the wooden double doors is where you are greeted to the fanatic theme of Christmas all year, not just in December. The living room comprises of comfy sofa, Smart TV, wood burning stove for those cold winter days (wood burner available for use during winter months only from 1 November to 31 March) and window seats overlooking the river and waterfall.
    Upstairs on the second floor there are three bedrooms, each bedroom has its own theme, The ’Robin’ bedroom features a kingsize bed, The ’Woodland Bedrooms’ has a small double and ‘Elf Room’ is a small single bedroom. The family bathroom is fitted with shower cubicle and bath. There is LED lighting including a back lit mirror that creates a soft light for relaxing in the bath. Take the small steps up to the upper deck garden/decking which is four floors above the ground. This is a stunning garden which is not to be missed, built into Cheddar Gorge you have a brilliant 180-degree view across the river, up the gorge and down into the village; this can also be the perfect place to star gaze.
    Another awesome feature of the cottage is the location, leave the car and stroll into the village centre where you will be greeted by a myriad of pubs, tea rooms, independent stores and of course the Famous Cheddar Cheese shops! For the more adventurous, walk-through Cheddar Gorge, tackle Jacobs Ladder and explore the fantastic caves. Beach 12 miles.
