Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. Stepping inside, on the ground floor you will find a cosy lounge with wood burner, perfect for chillier evenings, and comfortable seating to relax in after a day exploring the area, together with Freeview TV. The wonderfully light and modern kitchen/diner comes extremely well equipped with a second Freeview TV, plus everything you need for a wonderful home-cooked meal, with an electric oven, gas 5 burner hob, and dishwasher. There’s also a utility room with a fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and washing machine.
Heading upstairs you will find the family bathroom with a P-shape bath and shower plus a heated towel rail. The bedrooms have all been decorated in calming colours for a restful night’s sleep and have plenty of storage and hanging space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedroom two has a double while bedroom three has a single bed.
Outside, the south-facing garden, with two decks, is a great size and is mainly lawned, perfect for your two and four-legged family to let off some steam running around and playing games. Speaking of which, at the bottom of the garden you will find the games cabin with table tennis and a decked area with a table, chairs, a corner sofa, for relaxing, firepit and barbecue for your alvfresco dining! Head into the cosy games cabin when the sun goes down.
A fantastic holiday home located just a short walk from Minehead’s town centre and beautiful seafront, with sandy beach and harbour, surrounded by shops and an award-winning Indian restaurant, 2-minute walk. Local pubs are a 5-minute walk giving you the option to leave the car on the driveway and explore on foot. Hire bikes, paddle boards and kayaks from Channel Adventures on the seafront.
Minehead Golf Course, founded in 1882, is Somerset’s oldest and is open all year round. Minehead is also a bustling seaside resort with plenty of things to do and there are many shops, bars, and restaurants to sample as well as three supermarkets within a 5-minute walk! Take time to explore, get lost and find hidden rivers, old-fashioned tea rooms and country pubs. The village of Dunster has its beach, plus its castle and cobbled streets are a must-do while here. Dunster by candlelight in December is a magical experience! Drive along the coast and spend time in Porlock, ride the cliff railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth or wander around Watchet. Clevedon is a beautiful seaside town located in the cider loving county of North Somerset. Hosting spectacular countryside, incredible wildlife, the world’s second largest tidal range and the only Grade I Listed Victorian pier in the country, there are many things to see and do in the local area. The open plan living space is lovely and light with its sky light and beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas, and Smart TV. Wonderful for enjoying your morning coffee whilst watching Netflix or sitting in front of the log burner in the evening. The well-equipped kitchen has all the supplies you need as well as a coffee machine with a couple of complimentary pods.
On the ground floor you will find the kingsize bedroom as well as the family bathroom; head up the stairs through the open plan living space to the twin bedroom with two single beds. The barns can sleep up to four guests with an additional sofa bed for a child in the living room. Escape to these barn conversions that have been lovingly restored by the current owners in 2022, where you can indulge in the comfort offered.
This is a great area for walking or cycling along the North Somerset coast. The properties are directly on the brand new ‘Pier to Pier’ cycle track (open 2023) and this will give the opportunity to cycle between the piers in Clevedon and Weston-Super-Mare. The properties are about 700 yards from Clevedon Golf Centre where adults and children are always welcome to play, no booking necessary. The wider garden is shared with the other cottage, and is enclosed when the gate is shut. Clevedon has a lovely little harbour as well as a beautiful sea front with views across to Wales. There is a seawater lake used for swimming all year round (£1 honesty box charge). Other water-based activities are available (paddle boarding, sailing etc.) There is also an arcade, as well as a good number of cafés and pubs along the seafront. You can also visit Ladye Bay, a lovely, secluded pebble beach bay, which is within walking distance. The busier Weston-Super-Mare is only 10 minutes down the motorway, or a little bit longer along the cycle path. There is the Grand Pier with lots of arcades as well as a sandy beach. You can also be in the city of Bristol within 30 minutes.
