Built on a slope means there is access from the back on the ground floor and from the front on the lower ground floor. As you enter into the lower ground floor there is a large hallway, two bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower. The open plan living and dining area is perfect to enjoy friends and family time, with a cosy multi-fuel burner to enjoy during those winter nights. The spacious kitchen shares the views of the Rusland Valley and is well appointed. The top floor has a spacious master bedroom and separate family bathroom with bath and shower.
    Stable End Cottage is 4 miles away from Hawkshead, a great base for walking, biking and outdoor adventure as well as for escaping the everyday rush of life. A few miles extra and you will be in Ambleside and Lake Conistion, where you can enjoy boat rides and paddle boarding as well as lovely walks, restaurants and shops. On the doorstep is Grizedale Forest, where there is an abundance of walking routes, cycle paths and sculpture trails! Also located here is Go Ape a fun adventure course for the whole family.     The moment you approach this beautifully converted chapel you know you’re in store for a lovely stay in a unique property. The large wooden chapel doors open to reveal a big hallway with a couple of rooms leading off to the sides. You come to a useful study room first which offers a little privacy or peace, and the opposite is a utility room providing the perfect place to dry and feed the dog, dry wet coats after a busy day’s walking in the Lakes. A second set of doors opens into an impressive, Instagram-worthy living space, with high vaulted ceilings, large leaded windows, and oak beams.
    Once you catch your breath, you can take in the large kitchen with all the amenities and space required to cater anything from a simple sandwich to a family feast. The breakfast bar is the ideal place to watch the chef show off their skills whilst enjoying a glass of wine before moving the feast to the large dining table, where you could easily imagine you were starring in an epic movie during a medieval banquet.
