These delightful holiday cottages are set in the peaceful conservation village of Puncknowle, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Jurassic Coast is just 1½ miles away with superb scenic walking. Each cottage is finished to a high standard offering very comfortable holiday accommodation and is set in the same smart courtyard area as the owners’ homes. The ‘chocolate-box’ village of Burton Bradstock is 3 miles with a good small beach. Abbotsbury, along the coast, has its famous swannery and sub-tropical garden. Further east is the Victorian seaside town of Weymouth, with Blue Flag beach, sea fishing, windsurfing, Sealife Centre and two RSPB nature reserves. Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool are great places for a family day out. Dorchester, the county town also known as Thomas Hardy’s ‘Casterbridge’ is 30 minutes’ drive and has a lively weekly market and beautiful Maiden Castle. To the west is the market town of Bridport which was Thomas Hardy’s ‘Port Bredy’ and has the twice weekly market as featured in the popular TV programme River Cottage. The picturesque harbours of West Bay are a great place for fishing. Lyme Regis is an attractive seaside resort which enjoys a dramatic setting with high cliffs, landslips and handsome harbour, known as The Cobb. Both Lyme Regis and Charmouth are renowned for their prehistoric fossils which are displayed in the local museum and on sale in the fossil shops. Local pub serving good food 250 yards.

On the edge of the village of Hogsthorpe, close to Chapel St Leonards and the beach, this detached bungalow enjoys open views from the conservatory across the fields where you can sit back and relax. There is plenty to see and do for all the family in the area, with the North Sea Observatory at Chapel St Leonards on the beach, which is well worth a visit. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just along the coast, as is Fantasy Island at Ingoldmells with its huge funfair and market. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is approximately a 30-minute drive away to the south of Skegness, and inland there are the market towns of Alford, Louth and Horncastle to explore. If you are bringing your dog on holiday there is an enclosed area to the rear, and the large kitchen/dining room provides a great space for all the family to be together at meal times. Set on a 120-acre, family-run working farm, these two lovely cottages (Goose Cottage ref UKC2676 and Barn Cottage ref UKC2682), offer comfortable and welcoming accommodation. Located just ¾ mile from Widemouth Bay, one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in north Cornwall, there is something here to suit guests of all ages. You could even book both of the properties together for extended family or friends.
The larger cottage, Goose Cottage is a charming barn conversion and boast lovely views of the surrounding rural landscape. With spacious open plan living space, it is ideal for enjoyable gatherings of families or friends. Barn Cottage offers a first floor living room, complete with doors which open onto a small decked balcony where guests can admire the magnificent views across rolling fields and out to the sea. Both properties enjoy shared access to the range of facilities found on-site, including a tennis court and a children’s outdoor play area with slides, swings and a climbing wall. Why not take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool, or challenge friends and family to the variety of games found in the small indoor games barn including table tennis, air hockey and a small pool table. A communal utility room with washing machines and a tumble dryer is available for both properties. Friendly chickens, ducks and geese roam the courtyard, and the tame peacock may pay you a visit to your door. There is a woodland walk to the rear, and a 20-minute walk on a footpath across the fields to the front will take you across sheep grazed meadows to Widemouth Bay.
Widemouth Bay is an extremely popular holiday destination and is world famous for surfing. It has far reaching, exceptional sandy beaches, and provides miles of coastal paths for enthusiastic walkers. The well loved tourist town of Bude is just 3 miles further up the coast. The town offers an indoor swimming pool, shops, restaurants, horse riding, a golf course and tenpin bowling. For the keen walker there are many opportunities both along the south west coastal path route, which runs the entire coastline of Cornwall and offers stunning cliff walks, and on nearby Bodmin Moor. The cottage now boasts a large parking area by the house for 3 cars enabling easy access and the ability to turn your car round if required. The garden has also been enlarged and relandscaped with wild flower. The village shop in nearby Upper Solva, has a post office and off licence, sells groceries, papers, angling supplies and offers a delivery service within the Solva area.
A century old working woollen mill with most hospitable and informative proprietors and tearoom is 200 yards away from this secluded holiday cottage in Middle Mill near Solva, a very pretty spot for a picnic by the tumbling Solva stream. Tucked away on a quiet country lane just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards is this spacious bungalow ideal for a family break with a large garden including a big summerhouse and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
Within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve as well as The Lincolnshire Wolds. A nearby footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in your own private hot tub and enjoy the open view across the fields.
For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away. You can even bring your family dog, with two small dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Old Low Farm Cottage is a charming, white washed, detached cottage situated on the cliff side, just outside the village of Aldbrough and near Hornsea. Located on a working sheep farm, this spacious property is perfectly placed to enjoy a family holiday in a peaceful setting, yet central enough to explore the delights of a traditional seaside town.
The cottage is single-storey with well proportioned rooms. Upon entering you will find a good-sized hallway with plenty of space to hang coats and store your buckets and spades. The kitchen is to the rear of the cottage with a family dining table, offering lovely views across open fields to the sea. With modern units and appliances, the chef in the group will enjoy preparing delicious, home cooked meals here. The spacious living room has large, comfortable sofas which surround the hearth and wood burner, and the large windows let in lots of light giving this room a homely feel. There are a selection of games and books to while away some time during the evening. There are three well-appointed and attractively decorated bedrooms, with two doubles and one single. The shower room features a large shower and plenty of storage space for all your holiday essentials. Outside the cottage is an enclosed garden, a great spot for children and your four-legged friends to play. The hot tub is nestled to one side of the garden with seating opposite. The village of Aldbrough is a few minutes’ walk away in which you will find the village shop and the local pub. The town of Hornsea is no more than 10 minutes’ drive and has everything to entertain families, from a long sandy beach, central garden and a traditional promenade to amusements and lots of ice cream and fish and chips shops! Hornsea Mere offers watersports and fishing opportunities whilst Hornsea Freeport is a shopper’s paradise. Beverley is a short drive from the coast and has an excellent racecourse with a full racing calendar throughout the year. The market towns of Driffield and Market Weighton are also well worth a visit. A little further afield is the historic city of York. For those who enjoy exhilarating cliff walks, Flamborough and the Bempton Nature Reserve are close by, providing the opportunity to see puffins during the summer months. The stately homes of Burton Constable Hall and Grounds, Sledmere and Burton Agnes Hall aren’t far away and for a rainy day, a visit to The Deep, a spectacular aquarium based in Hull, is an absolute must. With the unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds on the doorstep, offering miles of cycling and walking opportunities, this pretty Yorkshire coast cottage is an excellent base for a wonderful holiday. Great days out for the children are BeWILDerwood at Horning, the Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, and Sea Life centre at Great Yarmouth. The city of Norwich recently voted one of the top five cities to visit in the UK with its Norman castle and numerous museums, galleries, and theatres. Those who enjoy cycling and walking will discover that there are lots of great routes close by to enjoy as well.

Manor Court Cottages are set in the picturesque village of Shipton Gorge. Within walking distance, 110 yards, are the village playing fields and pub selling the famous Palmers Ales and local food. This a fantastic location to explore the Dorset countryside and World Heritage Jurassic coastline, 1½ miles away. Whether its a family holiday, walking, bird watching, fishing, cycling or for a quiet break Manor Court Cottages are ideal. The pretty village of Burton Bradstock, 1½ miles, has a beach with a café, shop, post office, garage and pubs. The market town of Bridport, 2 miles away, has a lively and vibrant street market Saturdays and Wednesday, along with small shops, cafés, antiques and local food can be found, or pop into the museum and learn its history of rope and net making.
The picturesque harbour of West Bay is 2 miles away and was made famous by the TV drama ’Broadchurch’, while the village of Abbotsbury, 3 miles away, is popular for its swannery, sub-tropical gardens and childrens farm. Spread along the coast from Sidmouth is a host of attractions, including the Donkey Sanctuary and Beer Caves at Seaton and Axminster where you can ride on the trams or eat at the River Cottage restaurant. Into Dorset try fishing in a boat out of the cobb at Lymm Regis, fossil hunting at the museum or a walk up Golden Cap for the breathtaking views. Weymouth with its sandy beaches and Sealife Centre is well worth a visit, discover the dinosaurs at the Dorchester museum or travel back in time with a visit to Thomas Hardy’s cottage, go to war at the Bevington Tank Museum, or say ’hi’ to the monkeys at Monkey World.
