Situated on the owner’s farm in the pretty hamlet of Betton Strange, only two miles from the town centre of Shrewsbury. The barns at Bretton Alkmere Farm are perfect for a family get together or a friend’s holiday with plenty of luxurious extras. The Brewhouse (UK44073) sleeps two, The Granary (UK44074) sleeps six, The Dairy (UK44130) sleeps eight and The Stables (UK44139) sleeps 10 and all have been decorated to a high modern standard whilst cleverly preserving the characteristics of the original barns.
The owners have worked with an interior designer to give the barns the extra ’wow’ factor when it comes to décor. They come with en-suite facilities and all of them have large open plan living, dining and kitchen areas with plenty of comfy seating for all and large dining tables. The kitchens are spacious, modern, and fully equipped for any chefs in the party, but if you don’t feel like cooking, there’s plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby that the owners will gladly share their recommendations. All the barns have wood flooring throughout and charming exposed beams, and there has been a great deal of attention to detail so that you can relax in style and comfort. There are Smart TVs with Netflix if you fancy a movie night. Each of the barns come with enclosed gardens and patios, with breathtaking views of the surrounding Shropshire countryside and plenty of parking for everyone. In addition to the fabulous accommodation, the owners offer you a luxury hamper and if there’s availability the children can be shown around the farm. The family have a fantastic farm shop not too far away, so that you can indulge in delicious local produce during your stay.
You are located only a 10-minute drive from the beautiful and very popular town of Shrewsbury, which is a great place to explore. Bursting with independent shops, coffee bars and restaurants and set on the banks of the River Severn, there’s plenty to see and do. Farmers markets are laid on throughout the year, and events happening all the time, it’s a must visit. In the nearby Shropshire Hills, hikers and cyclists can explore the varied landscape, stopping in at numerous quaint villages along the way to explore meadows, hills, and woodland. Or visit one of many of the National Trust properties close by. There’ something for everyone, the special places in Shropshire are just waiting to be discovered. The owners will be more than happy to make suggestions and help you with your planning.

Situated in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this detached property has lovely views over the Clee Hill. The property offers four bedsrooms and has off-road parking for up to four cars and there is a large garden sweeping around the property with garden furniture.
This is the ideal haven for guests wanting to get away from it all, but also for those who wish to be more active and explore the countryside a little further afield, such as the Stretton and Clee Hills, the Mortimer Forest and the Welsh and North Herefordshire borders. There are many historic buildings in the area, including Ludlow, Stokesay, Croft and Powis castles, and the popular World Heritage Site at Ironbridge Gorge with its ten fascinating museums. The property is 5 miles from the picturesque market town of Ludlow, with its many independently owned shops, pubs, and restaurants. The town of Craven Arms is just 11 miles away, and offers a supermarket and a selection of takeaways, if a quiet evening in is preferred.

Bridge Cottage is a charming and traditional holiday home. Ideally set up for your family holiday, the accommodation boasts three bedrooms on the first floor – the master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has twin beds and the third bedroom is a single, there is also a bathroom on the first floor. Wake up relaxed, as all bedrooms enjoy views over the tranquil garden. The ground floor of Bridge Cottage feels bright and spacious.
Entering through the porch to the hallway, there’s plenty of room to kick off your shoes, from here leads to the rest of the property which offers a dining room, living room, ground floor toilet and utility room. The large living room boasts comfortable sofas, plus an electric wood burner for a little ambience on those cooler evenings. At the other end of the cottage, the well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen is accessed via the dining room. Outside, there’s a beautiful garden to enjoy. With a patio area and lovely lawn, this garden ticks all the boxes. You’ll find shade under trees, sun on the lawn and if you explore the bottom of the garden, you’ll even find the stream running under the cottage’s namesake!
Wyson is a pretty hamlet in Herefordshire, just 10 minutes from Ludlow. The county is a quintessential English and is surrounded by countryside, with its rolling hills, heritage, and hearty local ciders! So, whether you are visiting for the famous local festivals, an outdoor activity break, or simply to explore the quaint countryside and market towns, there’s a day out for everyone in this wonderful county.

Set in the countryside of Leintwardine, this modern barn conversion is the perfect place to relax in and enjoy a rural retreat. The off grid, eco-conversion is thoughtfully simple and modern, to complement the beauty of its surroundings. There is an open plan living and kitchen area with sliding doors making the most of the views, at one end the modern fitted kitchen there’s an island and dining area, which makes a great social space, and perfect for entertaining or enjoying a family meal. There is also a wood burner which is laid ready to light on your arrival. The accommodation is all on one level with underfloor heating throughout. There are three super king beds with one being a zip and link bed, two of which have en-suite shower rooms, and there is also a separate family bathroom.
Jacob’s Plock is nestled in a quiet spot, just outside of the village and enjoys a peaceful and private plot in the countryside, whilst benefitting from the village amenities, a short drive or walk away. Leintwardine is a small rural village in North Herefordshire, close to Shropshire and the border of Wales, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. A particular popular area for cyclists and walkers. The village has a comprehensively stocked store/fuel station. There are two pubs, one of which has an excellent restaurant beside the river, and one that was a parlour pub beautifully restored which serves pub snacks and a good selection of ales. There is also an award-winning fish and chip shop in the village. Just ten miles away, the market town of Ludlow is a popular place to visit and hosts annual festivals and various events year-round. From ancient castles to medieval market towns and museums, the area is steeped in history with plenty of places to visit.
