The barn is attached to the back of the owner’s farmhouse but guests will have private access with their own front door and driveway space, enough for up to four cars.
    As you enter, you will be welcomed into the hallway area which has bench seating, a washer/dryer, and is perfect for hanging coats up and kicking off those wellies after a bracing walk in the countryside. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished with a large corner sofa, Smart TV with Freeview and a gas wood burner. One of the kingsize bedrooms is located on the ground floor and there is a handy shower room across the hallway.
    Head upstairs to discover the other two kingsize bedrooms, one of which has zip and link beds and can be set up with twin beds if requested. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. The elegant kitchen/diner is also located on the first floor, making the most of the beautiful views across the countryside.     The historic cathedral city of Exeter is 12 miles away with easy parking and a direct rail link from Crediton. The scenic national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor are within a 40-minute drive away. Dartmoor is a vast moorland defined by forests, rivers, wetlands, and tors (rock formations). The South Devon ‘Jurassic’ coast is a 50-minute drive away while the rugged North Devon coast and surfing beaches are a 60-minute drive away.     A 2-minute walk and you are on a stunning vast beach that stretches for over 3 miles to Filey and beyond. It’s a beach that never looks busy as it’s so wide and has lots of space for everybody. Great for the children or walking the dogs, or watching the horse riders galloping through the waves in the early morning. There is an excellent café that serves the beach guests and provides meals and drinks as well as ice creams. Filey is a very traditional seaside resort, not quite as busy as its neighbour Scarborough however it has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Filey is also the end of the Cleveland Way walk so you can enjoy a walk along the cliff tops to Scarborough following part of this very famous 109 mile trail. The seaside resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington are just a short drive away. Both resorts are very popular holiday destinations and worth a visit during your stay.
    The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive where you can see the puffins and other migrating birds from the viewing points on the cliff tops. Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes and Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and the wonderful Castle Howard are just a short drive. Sea Haven is not far from the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds made famous by the artist David Hockney, who often paints the rolling hills of the Wolds. Beach 70 yards.     As you enter Palm View you find yourself in the bright and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen area. With fully equipped kitchen and central island, perfect for rustling up a good meal. The living/dining area is alongside this with comfortable sofa seating, Freeview TV and glimpses of the sea. This area as a whole is very social with doors opening out onto the rear garden, a great set up for hosting those summer barbecues for family and friends. The rear garden is a lovely area to sit out in with various plants/shrubs and seating on the decked area. There is also a large studio in the back garden which guests can use as a games room/lounge area with sofa seating. Back into the property and there are three good sized bedrooms, sleeping up to seven guests! The main bedroom contains a double bed and has fitted wardrobes for guests use.     Just up the road from Palm View are Primley Woods, a large field and wooded area which is great for walking those four legged friends. Just a short walk downhill into the first part of the town is where you can find several takeaways, shops and pubs as well as a laundrette if needed. A bit further into town and onto Paignton seafront and beach with its arcades, pier, mini golf course and various pubs/restaurants often hosting live music. Paignton harbour also has some good quality new restaurants, especially for seafood. If guests are wanting to explore the local area as well as Paignton, the nearby towns of Torquay with its marina, the famous fishing town of Brixham and Dartmouth and Kingswear are a relatively short drive away, as is the nearby city of Exeter. The town is only a 15 minute walk and only a 20 minute walk from the coast.
