The Cumbrian coastal village of Coulderton is located on the outskirts of St Bees, and about 3 miles from the market town of Egremont. You will be able to enjoy many local attractions including a special trip on the miniature railway at Ravenglass, enjoy the sights of the Lakes at Ennerdale or Buttermere, trips to Whitehaven with the famous Rum Story and Beacon Museum. Keswick and Windermere with their local shops, cafés and restaurants are well worth a vist.
Ludlow Bank is a single storey house and is suitable for all year round use with full central heating and hot tub in the garden. The Bungalow sits in the quiet rural village of Aikton, set in the northern part of Cumbria. The peaceful countryside is idyllic, and perfect for friends and family to relax, catch up and enjoy the surrounding area. The property is a large detached bungalow, with two large living rooms, giving plenty of space for everyone. A spacious and well equipped dining kitchen is the central hub of the house, where hearty meals, drinks and good conversation can go on well into the evening, after which head off for a comfortable night’s sleep in the three double bedrooms, the third can also be made up into a twin if so required. Wake up revived and refreshed, two family bathrooms are available for all. Outside is surrounded by large enclosed lawned gardens, with open rural fields to the rear and side, often with livestock, and views of Skiddaw (weather permitting). For al fresco dining, the paved patio area is the place to serve up your culinary skills, however a morning coffee, a slice of toast and the gentle sound of birdsong makes it a perfect place to reflect and plan the day ahead. A bike store is also available on request via the owner, at cost. A short 5 minute walk and the 18th-century inn serves quality home cooked food and a selection of real ales. Whilst the market town of Wigton (4 miles) has a wide range of restaurants and supermarkets. If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil setting, Cumbria and the Lake District National Park is one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. The area has something to offer all visitors, from those seeking adventure, to those seeking peace and quiet. Not only is the Lake District National Park a short drive away, but from here it’s also easy to explore the great border city of Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall and Scotland. Situated on the very fringe of the Lake District National Park, between Cockermouth and Ennerdale, it offers easy access for walking and cycling routes, as well as arguably some of the most picturesque scenery. Nearby is Cockermouth at just 5 miles away with an abundance of independent shops, coffee shops, restaurants and attractions. There is something for everyone here to make a great holiday. Angerton Cottage is a delightful country cottage set in beautiful countryside yet close to the many and varied attractions the area has to offer. Refurbished in 2021 Angerton Cottage is lovingly decorated and furnished throughout, a particularly favourite room at Angerton Cottage is the living room with patio doors opening onto the garden where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife. In the winter the cosy wood burner in the living room is a joy.

With three comfortable bedrooms, a lovely kitchen and separate dining room it’s the perfect cottage for a family get together at any time of year and of course your four-legged friend is well catered for in the large, enclosed garden. From Angerton Cottage you can walk or cycle along quiet country lanes or jump in the car and you are in the heart of the Lake District National Park within half an hour where you can enjoy more strenuous hikes or just take in the delights of the lakes and mountains and the lovely towns like Keswick and Windermere.

Angerton Cottage is situated close to the border City of Carlisle, where you can visit a range of attractions including Tullie House and the impressive cathedral and Castle. A short drive will take you to the ruins of the famous Hadrian’s Wall, or why not take a drive over the border to the beautiful beaches of Dumfries and Galloway.

Set back from a quiet, shared private lane, this solid Cumbrian stone, mid-link barn conversion enjoys open views over the Solway coast and towards Scotland. Relax on the landscaped front seating area, with seating for all, and watch the breathtaking sunsets and open views as you enjoy good company and a glass of wine. On the first floor are the sumptuous bedrooms; a master with a stunning super kingsize bed and en-suite shower room with rainfall shower, a quadruple bunk room for the teenagers of the group with their own en-suite toilet, and a further kingsize room. There is also a family bathroom on this floor.

The area is brimming with activities and open coastline, and is ideal for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle and the northern Lake District and Scottish borders. Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the adjacent nature reserve is home to a variety of native wildlife.

This stunning cottage is found in the quiet hamlet of Staffield, located in the wonderful Eden Valley, a tranquil part of Cumbria, close to both Carlisle and Penrith and also Hadrian’s Wall, the Northern Pennines, the western fringe of the Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Borders.
Staffield Cottage accommodates up to four guests, providing a great base for couples, small families or friends alike with a king size bed, and a zip and link twin bedroom, which can be made into an kingsize bed if needed.
Pooley Bridge and Glenridding at Ullswater is only a short drive away, with Keswick and Lake Derwent Water being only a short easy drive away from there. The picturesque unspoilt villages of Kirkoswald, Armathwaite, Lazonby and Great Salkeld are all close by and they each offer amenities for you to enjoy. Local shops and tea rooms, as well as great pubs and restaurants abound. From Staffield Cottage you can plan a multitude of activities to do from cycling to fishing, walking to ballooning. The choice is endless.

As you arrive at the Beckside House, there is ample private parking directly outside the property making for a smooth transition of bags in the house. The entrance hall is light and airy and has hanging for coats and a rack for shoes. To the left is a good-sized twin bedroom with plenty of storage. The two single beds are zip and link so can be configured as a second double if preferred (please specify at the time of booking). Situated next to the second bedroom is the open living space, finished to a good standard with a modern feel. The living area benefits from a 50” TV and gives views to the enclosed patio and garden area, with French doors so you can open the whole space up on warm summer days. There is a round, glass table for dining and the well-appointed kitchen means the cook can still be part of the conversation as dinner is prepared. The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave and a dishwasher. These is also a washing machine for the outdoor enthusiast who may get caught out by the weather. The property houses a large bath to soak away the day’s aches and pains, and a large drench shower. The property is completed by the large master bedroom which has plenty of space and a kingsize bed to lull you to sleep.

The property is ideally located with the centre of Dalton-in-Furness only a 2-minute walk from the front door. Dalton offers a good range of shops and take-aways, as well as a selection of lovely pubs which offer food as well as a good selection of beers. Within 3 miles are a number of attractions, such as the Safari Zoo, Furness Abbey and a local leisure centre with a great pool for kids. If you want to travel a bit further afield then within a 20-mile radius there is the World-famous Lake Windermere, Lakeland Motor Museum, Go-Ape High ropes adventure, Miniature Village, Bigland Hall equestrian (Horse riding) and Lakes Aquarium to name but a few, so there is something for every family member, and of course, you are at the gateway to the whole of the Lake District National Park.

If you want a relaxing break in a beautiful part of The Lake District National Park, then look no further than Garth Court. This well-equipped one bedroom apartment is just a short stroll from the centre of Near Sawrey Village and is ideal for couples looking to unwind and use as a base to explore the stunning surroundings. Near Sawrey is located between Lake Windermere and Hawkshead and nestles on the shores of Esthwaite Water. It’s also the home of Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s former home where the inspiration was drawn for many of her famous tales. Here you are also less than a 5-minute walk from an excellent village pub offering good food and local ales, with an open fire and a real country pub feel to it.

The picturesque village has lovely scenery and walks available from your doorstep. Just 2 miles away you’ll find Hawkshead which offers a range of pubs, shops and plenty of independent cafés and coffee shops. You’re also just a short drive from the Windermere car ferry, which in just 10-minutes takes you across the lake to Bowness-on-Windermere with an abundance of shops, bars, restaurants. Take the steamers across Windermere Lake to Ambleside in the north and Lakeside in the south, which connects to The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. You’re close to Grizedale Forest with lots of woodland walks, cycle routes and even a high rope adventure course, great fun for adults! For golfers, you can access Windermere Golf Course in a short drive as well as Esthwaite Trout Fishery which is just 1 mile away. If you love the outdoors, there’s plenty of hiking and climbing routes all around including both on and off road cycle ways, whatever you want to do on holiday, Garth Court is a great place to start.
