The excellent family bathroom is also on this floor. Pennine View is ideally suited for up to 4 adults and 2 children. The ground floor is where you will be doing all your entertaining; the living room has Sky TV, plus amazing views direct from your sofa onto The Pennines; a separate dining room has extra comfy seating plus a wood burner for those cold winter evenings, with more views onto the neighbouring fells; the kitchen, with separate utility room, offers a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, electric oven and hob to make life easy while away. Outside there is a delightful garden to the rear of the property split over two levels; the bottom level is on a patio and has seating, whilst the second level is lawned with more seating and excellent views of the Pennines again. The garden is completely enclosed, ideal for pets and children.
    You are spoilt for choice when deciding what and where to go, you could easily be enjoying yourself on the water at Ullswater or hiking a fell at Blencathra or up Helvellyn all in the Lake District or village hoping around the Eden Valley enjoying the local shops, cafes and bars in Penrith, Appleby or Kirkby Stephen all within a close drive from Pennine View. There are beautiful walks to Dufton and The Pennines right from your front door. The settle to Carlisle Railway is the perfect way to explore the beautiful area, as it crosses some of the wildest countryside in England over the Ribblehead viaduct. The local pub is 275 yards from the property and is open Thursday through to Sunday, perfect for when you don’t fancy cooking or simply to enjoy an afternoon beverage.

Semi-detached with Grooms Cottage (ref UKC2221), this property has been restored in to a wonderful cottage, adjacent to Holly Lodge (ref 27273), off the large shared parking area.

    Holly Lodge (27273) is a detached, spacious, 18th-century country house, and has been thoughtfully furnished to a good standard with a profusion of original features, which have been retained and restored. Whilst all three properties are set in substantial wooded gardens, with formal lawns, an orchard and patio areas, each property has their own private sitting-out area. The whole garden is surrounded by countryside and is very private and secure.
    Cockermouth, 8 miles, has coffee shops, restaurants, gastro pubs, shops, cycle hire and art galleries. There are theatres in Keswick, Cockermouth and Whitehaven, all within easy reach and hosting musical and theatrical events all year. The small rural village of Aspatria, 2 miles, also has a small selection of shops. There is a public swimming pool in Cockermouth or you can have your own personal indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and steam room (rented by the hour locally, it is recommended to book early), just 500 yards away from the properties.
