Ideally set in the heart of the Peak District, The Old School House is part of a converted Victorian school. This Grade II listed home retains much charm and character, with Gothic features, and offers spacious holiday accommodation. There is a lovely garden with sitting-out area which is accessed across the driveway, however it is not an enclosed garden. Tideswell is an attractive village with a small supermarket, butchers and fish and chip shop. The Peak District offers superb walking, cycling, climbing, charming villages and bustling towns. With super views across Amber Valley to Crich Stand and the wooded hills above Matlock, it offers very comfortable, well-equipped holiday accommodation. An attraction-filled area, the Crich Tram Museum, Midland Railway Centre, Gulliver’s Kingdom are close by. This superb self-contained annexe is quietly attached to the owner’s home. Nestled in the sleepy village of Cutthorpe, in the heart of Derbyshire, you can explore the Peak District National Park within a few minutes drive. With open countryside views to the front and beautiful fields to the rear, Cutthorpe village is semi-rural and home to the fabulous Linacre Reservoirs, which are surrounded by fields and bluebell woods which provide many walking trails for all abilities. Cutthorpe benefits from three local pubs, each of which serve food, and there is a whole host of attractions within easy travelling distance. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle can all be reached in less than 30 minutes, as can the towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield and even the city of Sheffield. For the energetic, Carsington Water has cycling routes and sailing available, and can be reached in around 45 minutes. For those bigger thrills, Alton Towers can be reached in around an hour. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 175 yards away.

This cosy cottage has been renovated in 2022 to a very high standard, where great thought and craftmanship has gone into every aspect making it a fantastic base for your Peak District base.
The ground floor comprises of a small but adequate kitchen with dishwasher and all the equipment you should require. The sitting room offers comfortable seating, TV and wood burner effect electric fire, there is also a dining table and chairs. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor with shower over bath. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the master offering a double bed and the second bedroom has two singles. Outside there is an outhouse storing washing machine/tumbler and sink. There is parking for 1 car and an open patio area with outdoor furniture and BBQ overlooking the village.
Taddington village is in the heart of the Peak District and it has a great pub serving fantastic food within walking distance of the property. You can head out on foot on endless walks or explore the local towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth plus lots more!

The Haven Lodge is a tranquil lodge located in Mayfield, Ashbourne. You are within close proximity of a shop and the busy local pub which serves delicious home made meals. Recently transitioned into a holiday home this lodge offers cosy, self-catering accommodation for two. Made up of a living area and dining area which has comfortable sofas and TV, a kitchenette with everything you should need for your stay, a shower room and a double bedroom. Outside the property is a private and secure garden area with decking. There is a private entrance and two car parking spaces available.
Ashbourne is a fantastic town, offering an array of restaurants, pubs and cafés plus local shops. There are ample walks and trails from the town to explore, plus Alton Towers theme park being a short 15-minute drive away. The Haven is the perfect couples’ retreat to experience a little piece of tranquillity and relaxation within this great town.

This beautiful detached barn conversion has been charmingly renovated, retaining and working with many original features where possible. Tastefully furnished to a very good standard throughout, the open-plan living and kitchen area with its stunning beamed vaulted ceiling creates a warm and cosy social environment. Located on the owners grounds, thoughtful additional extras can be provided at the owners discretion where possible making the full stay an extra special experience. These can include provision of a breakfast pack, special occasion pack, a cooked breakfast in the main house, or a cooked evening BBQ, which is available on request. Extra costs payable direct to the owner apply where food is provided, however the immaculately maintained gardens as shown to the public as part of Barlow Open Gardens can be dressed and lit at no extra cost. The zen area and outdoor fire can be lit once during your stay upon request. This area is available at the owners discretion. Please note this area is not available if the owners are not present.
The Barn is conveniently located 115 steps away from The Peacock at Barlow bar and restaurant offering the best views around, as well as just 80 steps away from The Hackney House Cafe and gift shop which serves a hearty breakfast and is renowned in the area for its home cooking. The Barn at Woodland View can be found in the small Derbyshire hamlet of Barlow. Most famous for its well dressings, the village uniquely has 3 wells, which the villagers decorate and round the occasion off with a carnival weekend. On the edge of the Peak District National Park, the area is home to excellent walking and with a host of attractions available in the vicinity. The large market town of Chesterfield famous for its crooked spire is just 15 minutes away, and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall are around 20 minutes. The ever-popular Bakewell and Hathersage in the heart of the Hope Valley are also around 20 minutes and the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton and wonderfully historic plague village of Eyam are around half an hour. Matlock, with its cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham is also around 30 minutes, Edale, home to the start/finish of the Pennine Way and the spa town of Buxton can be reached in 45 minutes. Shop 2¼ miles, pub and restaurant 0.1 mile.

Woodlands Barn is a bungalow offering excellent accommodation for up to four guests and one large dog or two small ones. The property is private and has an outstanding view across the village of Chinley and surrounding Peak District hills. Previously a stable, this property has undergone extensive renovations in 2023 and is light and finished to a very good standard. As you arrive at the long private drive, you will find a designated parking area for two vehicles; there is also a secure bike store and an EV charger available (at additional cost by arrangement with the owners). At the top of the driveway you will find a patio area at the front of the property with outdoor furniture and chiminea; it is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning your exciting day ahead, or at the end of the day light the chiminea and enjoy a glass of your favourite wine.
Step into the bungalow and you are into the kitchen where there is a utility section offering washing machine, doggy cupboard plus an iron and ironing board. The kitchen has all the equipment and appliances you should need as well as a dining table with four chairs positioned perfectly to take in the views. The living room is comfortable with ample furniture, Smart TV, and an electric wood burner.
There is a kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower room; this bed can be made into a twin upon request. The second bedroom is also kingsize and there is a separate family shower room. Views can be enjoyed from every room (please note that there is a signal mast on site, but this is positioned behind the property and can only be seen from the bottom of the driveway and the parking area).
Woodlands Barn is located in the village of Chinley, which has a lot to offer with two great pubs within walking distance as well as an Indian restaurant, convenience store, launderette, pharmacy, post office, fish and chip shop and two cafés. Train links take you into Sheffield or Manchester city centre, and very popular village of Edale is on this line. Locally there are some great walking or cycling routes as well so take your bikes on the train and cycle back. Immediate walks from the property is the adjacent Cracken Edge to Kinder Scout and South Head.
A short drive from the property is the Spa town of Buxton which has great shops, restaurants, Pooles Cavern and Buxton Opera House hosting shows weekly. Visit Castleton where you can explore the underground caves in a boat or visit Chatsworth House and Gardens or Lyme Park for a historic day out at these beautiful stately homes. There are ample of things to do and explore in this area making for a fun-filled Peak District holiday.

The kitchen also offers back door access to the private garden area which is lawned with garden furniture. The first of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor with a super kingsize bed that can be made into twins upon request and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. On the first floor is a galleried double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. It is a delightful place to return to at the end of your fun-filled day exploring this fantastic location within the Peak District. EV charging points have also been installed which you can use via scanning the QR code once parked.
Walnut Cottage is situated in a fantastic location in Buxton, within walking distance to all the attractions such as the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton Opera House and cinema, as well as a large number of cafés, pubs and restaurants available. There are plenty of walking routes and trails nearby such as Goyt Valley and the High Peak Trail. A short drive out of Buxton are neighbouring towns such as Ashbourne and Matlock, as well as the historic areas of Chatsworth House and Castleton, with its caverns you can explore.
