The Pig Barn at Nether Burrows Farm was lovingly converted in 2016 and once housed pigs along with their keepers that used to sleep in the same building on the top floor. Whilst Nether Burrows offers enough to keep everyone entertained, it is ideally positioned to explore all the Peak District has to offer. The bustling city of Derby is just 4 miles away and within easy driving distance are Chatsworth House (which boasts a famous collection of art treasures as well as beautiful gardens) and Haddon Hall (England’s most complete and authentic medieval house dating back to the 14th century). Carsington Water offers nature trails, a wildlife sanctuary, riding, water sports, cycle hire and a restaurant. There are many excellent pubs in the surrounding villages. Dovedale, Markeaton Park and the market towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are also well worth a visit. Shop 3½ miles, pub 1¼ miles and restaurant 2¼ miles.

This fantastic Grade II listed farm house building is bursting with character. It is spacious and has social rooms to be enjoyed, plus extensive gardens with beautiful views down the valley. The ground floor of this home offers a typical farmhouse style kitchen with traditional Rayburn and dining table in the centre of the room, there is an electric/gas range cooker also available, plus everything else you should need to cook up a great meal for all. Outside in the rear garden you have beautiful views down the valley, there is a patio area with furniture and a lawn. To the front of the property there is ample parking, a covered barbeque area with dining table plus further seating gathered around a firepit to enjoy the summer evenings.
Tissington has a lot to offer; it is the home of the well-dressing event, Tissington Hall, and the Tissington Trail is one of the best walking and cycling routes in the Peak District. Another fantastic walk from Tissington is to Dovedale, where the famous Dovedale stepping stones are. Alton Towers is a 25 minute drive which makes a great day out for all the family. This truly is a fantastic property to return back to after you have finished exploring for the day.

Yew Tree Cottage is located in the quaint village of Holymoorside, one of the many hamlets in Chesterfield. It is home to two fantastic pubs, one of which is owned by Peak Ales meaning it has fantastic local beers on offer, and the second pub’s head chef featured on the Great British Menu and offers fantastic food options. There are ample walks directly from the door or a little further you can reach trails taking you to Linacre reservoir or into Matlock which is the next town on. The town is full of high street shops, great restaurants and there are many tourist attractions locally such as Chatsworth House which is only 6 miles away.
As you arrive at Yew Tree Cottage you are greeted by a fantastic garden with stunning views over the village and the countryside, enter the cottage into the spacious, social space the kitchen offers, with breakfast bar, dining table, sofa and skylight windows with an unspoilt view of the sky, there is a snug just off from here with comfortable sofa, TV and log burner. Also on the ground floor is a shower room which has a handy storage area for boots and coats and the main living room offering comfortable seating, a large TV with Sky and a second wood burner. Up the stairs to the first floor is the family shower room, a single, spacious bedroom and also a twin bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe.
