Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle can all be reached in less than 30 minutes, as can the towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield and even the city of Sheffield. For the energetic, Carsington Water has cycling routes and sailing available, and can be reached in around 45 minutes. For those bigger thrills, Alton Towers can be reached in around an hour. Located on the owners grounds, thoughtful additional extras can be provided at the owners discretion where possible making the full stay an extra special experience. Extra costs payable direct to the owner apply where food is provided, however the immaculately maintained gardens as shown to the public as part of Barlow Open Gardens can be dressed and lit at no extra cost.     The Barn is conveniently located 115 steps away from The Peacock at Barlow bar and restaurant offering the best views around, as well as just 80 steps away from The Hackney House Cafe and gift shop which serves a hearty breakfast and is renowned in the area for its home cooking. The Barn at Woodland View can be found in the small Derbyshire hamlet of Barlow. Most famous for its well dressings, the village uniquely has 3 wells, which the villagers decorate and round the occasion off with a carnival weekend. On the edge of the Peak District National Park, the area is home to excellent walking and with a host of attractions available in the vicinity. The large market town of Chesterfield famous for its crooked spire is just 15 minutes away, and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall are around 20 minutes. The ever-popular Bakewell and Hathersage in the heart of the Hope Valley are also around 20 minutes and the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton and wonderfully historic plague village of Eyam are around half an hour. Matlock, with its cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham is also around 30 minutes, Edale, home to the start/finish of the Pennine Way and the spa town of Buxton can be reached in 45 minutes.     All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

    Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

    Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

    Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.
