Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Take the scenic coastal train from nearby St Erth to St Ives. The popular seaside town features a quaint harbour and glorious beaches. Budding artists and enthusiasts might like to visit the art gallery, Tate St Ives, or the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Strolling along its cobbled streets, you’ll find that St Ives is home to a host of curiosity shops and galleries. There’s also alfresco fine dining to try in one of the many excellent restaurants dotted along the water’s edge. The area is famous for its beautiful golden stretches, such as the award-winning beach at Carbis Bay, Porthminster and the rolling sand dunes at Hayle. This glorious surfing beach stretches all the way to Gwithian, and enjoys far-reaching views of Godrevy Lighthouse and out to sea.

Nearby, Tehidy Country Park boasts over 25 acres of woodland, cycle trails and bridle paths to explore. St Michael’s Mount (Karrek Loos yn Koos in Cornish, meaning ‘hoar rock in woodland’) is a must-see attraction during your stay. You are welcome to join the owners for a walk or cycle to the nearby St Catherine’s Oratory or ‘Pepperpot’, as its known locally, or into the close by villages of Whitell and Niton, with many options to venture further afield.
