A lovely spacious 3-bedroom holiday home set in a quiet residential area of the lovely village of Fordham, which is situated in the middle of Ely, Cambridge, and Bury St Edmunds. It’s the ideal choice for couples, families and friends wishing to explore this fabulous part of East Anglia. Used as the owner’s family holiday home, they want other guests to enjoy it as much as they do. The large kitchen diner provides everything you need to prepare a lovely evening meal or hearty breakfast and has bi-folding doors to the garden.

The spacious bedrooms are all on the ground floor as is the newly fitted walk-in shower room. It’s a great base to discover all the lovely towns and cities in this region including Ely with its stunning Cathedral only 20 minutes away where you can enjoy a day out taking in the beautiful scenes and browsing a verity of shops, restaurants, and pubs. Newmarket with its famous horse racing course is only 15 minutes away.

The University city of Cambridge is approximately 25 minutes’ drive where you can marvel at the beautiful buildings, go punting on the river or enjoy an afternoon tea at one of the many tea rooms, cafés, and restaurants. There are many local attractions to visit including the legendary Oliver Cromwell’s house, The National Horseracing Museum, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Palace House Newmarket, Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, Imperial War Museum – Duxford and Thetford Forest. For a longer day out, visit the seaside at Hunstanton about an hour away, as is the city of Norwich.

Beautifully decorated throughout, this holiday home makes the perfect hub to go off and explore all that picturesque Ely has to offer. With a modern yet country vibe this bungalow will comfortably sleep six guests with the option of adding a travel cot for the smallest family member.
There is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room with all the amenities you could possibly need for your stay. Two large double bedrooms with integral storage, a single sized room with a pull-out bed that converts into a small double, a modern four-piece family bathroom and a cosy living room with a wood burner for those English winter nights.
Externally there is an enclosed rear garden offering views over the farm and off-road parking for 2 vehicles. Pets are allowed however must be kept on leads as the working farm has two gorgeous dogs with free rein. Locally there are many attractions from the breath-taking cathedral, the historic site of Oliver Cromwell’s House, Wicken Fen National Nature reserve, a number of museums, shops, restaurants and pubs. Venture down to the waterside which boasts spectacular views over the river Great Ouse and a number of water activities from boat hire, cruises and Wake boarding. You may spot Ely newest addition, Sarafa the giraffe peaking the skyline. Further afield you will have easy access to popular Cambridge with an extensive list of things to explore.

The impressive Westward House stands at approximately 8000 square feet on two acres of land. As you enter the grounds off Bury Road and through a gated driveway, you will be welcomed into the elegant foyer, boasting a beautiful oak staircase, chandeliers and an ornate fireplace. With doors leading to two reception rooms, games room, dining room, two ground floor bedrooms with private toilet and a large kitchen/family room, which has apart glazed vaulted ceiling with exposed oak beams. The first floor comprises a mezzanine balcony overlooking the grand entrance hall, an array of doubles, single and family bedrooms with either en-suites or traditional wash hand basins, three separate family bathrooms. Externally there is an attached ground floor outbuilding with a further two bedrooms and shower room, with access through a side door into the kitchen/family room. There is ample off road parking for in excess of 10 cars and an enclosed wraparound garden, which is mainly lawned and foliage.
Ramsey is a market town and is approximately 9 miles north of Huntingdon and 30 miles from Cambridge city centre. There are plenty of attractions, both locally and further afield, from Ramsey rural museum, Fenland light railway and Ramsey Abbey walled gardens to all that Cambridge has to offer. You can also reach Thetford Forest in just over an hour’s drive.
