The oldest part of the cottage dates from 1800 and has been converted skilfully into a living room with tasteful furnishings, original beams, exposed stone walls and a large fireplace with a multi-fuel burner. There is a large dining area adjacent to the living room and a kitchen which leads into a south-facing conservatory, ideal for breakfast and relaxing. There is a downstairs toilet and utility area. Upstairs has three large double bedrooms (two with en-suite showers) and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a 6ft zip and link bed which can be used as a double bed or two single beds. The cottage has Sky TV and wi-fi internet access. Only a few steps from the main cottage is a games room and studio apartment. The large, heated games room has a pool table and table tennis table as well as a drying room for wet clothes and boots. Above the games room is the studio with sitting room and a double bedroom with en-suite. The sitting room has a sofa bed (for alternative sleeping only) and a TV. The cottage stands in an enclosed garden which has driveway parking for four vehicles, flower beds and two lawns. The larger lawn overlooks the nearby fields and hills, and is ideal for ball games. It adjoins a stone-flagged patio area with a built-in barbecue and outside table and chairs. Sheldon has a pub close to the cottage which is friendly and provides good food. The village is within easy reach of Bakewell and Ashford-on-the-Water, and is an excellent starting point for walking, exploring the countryside and visiting Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, The Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath, the caves around Castleton and many other attractions in the Peak District. You could spend a day in Manchester and take in a show for the evening. 6½ miles away is the famous spa town of Buxton which also boasts an opera house and Pavilion Gardens. Book a day in the Dome Spa to relax or travel a little further and visit Chatsworth House and its amazing gardens and estate. Medieval Haddon Hall and the old market town of Bakewell is a must and you can travel through Winnets Pass to the charming village of Castleton with its famous caves where the Blue John stone is mined. Take a tour by boat through these caves and learn about the history of the people and how they mined them. Matlock Bath and Alton Towers make great days out for families. There are plenty of activities to enjoy locally including inhouse clay pigeon shooting lessons (at cost, by arrangement with owner) and there is also golf and horse riding located within 5 miles of the property.     Upon arrival at Warrington House, you will enter a large boot room, the perfect space with hard floorings to brush yourself down or your four-legged friend after a muddy walk in the hills; this room also has a utility section offering guests the use of the washing machine and tumble dryer. Off from the boot room are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and another with twin beds, on the ground floor there is also the family bathroom with a bath and separate cubicle shower. This property has been completely renovated in the summer/autumn of 2021 and it has been done to an excellent standard with guests’ thoughts always in mind.
    On the first floor is an open plan, spacious living room with ample seating and beautifully placed pops of colour in the décor. There is a rustic wooden dining table to seat eight guests. The living and dining area is also open plan to the kitchen which is equipped with fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee machine with pods provided. There is a bedroom with a king sizebed located on the first floor also.
    On the second floor you enter the main bedroom, which is converted in the attic; there are some low ceilings but ample room to walk upright, this room has a king size bed and en-suite with shower cubicle. To the rear of the property is a small, decked terrace area. Take advantage of this perfectly placed house where you can amble over the road to enjoy a nice meal at the end of your fun day exploring.
