Littonfields Barn is a beautiful barn conversion in the heart of the Peak District and offers luxury accommodation for up to twelve guests across five en-suite bedrooms. It has been furnished to a high standard and features a split level layout to take advantage of the wonderful views and beautiful beams. On the first floor you will be greeted by high ceilings and wooden beams running throughout, the fifth bedroom is found on this floor, which is a double, along with a bathroom. The kitchen has a great atmosphere and is a perfect social space so you can all be involved, it has a large oak dining table to comfortably seat all twelve guests. The doors are kept open into the living room which is very impressive, it features ample seating, lots of space and a wood burner. The barn has the fantastic addition of a games room across the courtyard with a table football and pool table. Littonfields Barn is located in a private courtyard with ample parking for up to six cars, a bike store and bike and boot washing facilities with a dryer racks. There is a pretty, raised patio area with table and chairs which is the perfect spot for your morning coffee or a family barbecue.
There is a country pub close by serving great food as well as a local shop open seven days a week. There are many wonderful walks straight from the door, and walks from the property include the Litton Loop which is a lovely circular route direct from the barn which takes the Cressbrook Dale, Litton Edge and a few cafés and pubs along the way. The High Peak, Monsall and Tissington Trails are a short drive from the property plus there are many places for cycle hire. Carsington Water is also nearby which offers many water sports activities, bird watching as well as having an 8-mile loop around the reservoir which is bike friendly too. Just a 15 minute drive away is Carsington Water and the popular town of Ashbourne. Also close by is the Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, which are set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the river Derwent. Matlock offers a range of shops, pubs, and restaurants as well as a whole host of other exciting attractions. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car, which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family! South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst to the north lie the market town of Bakewell, Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House - not to be missed! Close by Belper, situated in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site, is a town with a long and famous history dating back to the 13th century, when it was then called Beaurepaire (beautiful retreat), a name that still holds today. Now you’ll find it to be a spirited and bustling town, with attractions including the North Mill, Long Row and the River Gardens. There is a thriving local music and arts scene, and the town hosts an annual Arts festival every May as well as winter and summer food festivals and a monthly farmers’ market.

Tissington has a lot to offer; it is the home of the well-dressing event, Tissington Hall, and the Tissington Trail is one of the best walking and cycling routes in the Peak District. Another fantastic walk from Tissington is to Dovedale, where the famous Dovedale stepping stones are. Alton Towers is a 25 minute drive which makes a great day out for all the family. This truly is a fantastic property to return back to after you have finished exploring for the day.

Originally a much loved home rather than a holiday let, Silk Hill Stables still retains its homely ambiance with many original features and great attention to detail. This spacious one bedroom stable conversion is on a working livery and offers comfortable accommodation in scenic rural surroundings on the edge of the Peak District National Park. From the owner’s gate the famous Kinder Scout can be seen and there are many picturesque walks direct from the doorstep. You’ll find lots of useful doggy extras, and as an added bonus by prior arrangement with the owner there is even an outdoor area on site where you can let your dogs have a run around stress free. A short walk will take you into the small friendly town of Whaley Bridge where you’ll find food serving pubs, some dog friendly, cafés and restaurants. 5 minutes the other way is the famous Buxwoth Basin and pub.
