Sheepwash Square House located in a quaint North Devon village is a 1600’s Grade II listed thatched house accommodating up to twelve guests.

Perfect for families or groups of friends with spacious rooms and a ‘cottage chic’ theme with wooden shutters throughout. The well equipped kitchen is a delight with everything you could need, the large island makes a great place to socialize whilst cooking under the beautiful vaulted ceiling. The large living room overlooks the village square, and has a beautiful fireplace, wood burner and upright piano. The six bedrooms each have tea and coffee facilities, a writing desk and lamp, fluffy towels and quality Egyptian bedding. On the first floor the first bedroom, the ‘George Room’, is spacious, with double aspect views over the village square and the rear fields. Sheepwash is a delightful base to explore North Devon. There is a village shop which is open several times a week selling fresh local supplies and it has a post office. The local pub does takeaways and organises fishing on the River Torridge. Just a little further by car are the market towns of Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Okehampton. Westward Ho! in Devon or Bude in Cornwall are within a 40-minute drive. Westward Ho! has a long golden sandy beach backed by a pebble ridge. On the northern end is the Northern Burrows, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with sand dunes, salt marsh, grassland, rocky shore and is teeming with wildlife. A shorter drive south takes you to Dartmoor National Park where you can have a delightful pub lunch in the village of Belstone or take a walk on the moors and see Dartmoor ponies.
