The Yorkshire Wolds are famous for the country pubs and market towns such as Driffield and Beverley, which have excellent market days, as well as being interesting towns to visit. For the those who enjoy the horse racing, Beverley Racecourse has some excellent meetings and you are only an hour away from the York meeting, one of the best racecourses in the country. The stately homes of Sledmere and Burton Agnes Hall are just a short drive away, both excellent places to visit with beautiful gardens and delightful cafès.     The Hind House has been refurbished in 2018 to a very good standard and was the original living quarters for the farm works at Cottam Warren Farm. Situated down a long drive and nestled under large beech trees to the edge of this working arable farm, this detached house has wonderful views over the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds with the market town of Driffield, only 4 miles away. Within easy reach of the property are numerous stately homes including Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall, quiet Wolds villages and the market towns of Beverley and Malton, not to mention the seaside resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. For those wishing to explore a little further afield, York, Whitby and the Yorkshire Moors are all less than an hours’ drive away.

    The kitchen has a working Aga, but don’t worry an electric oven is also available for those not wishing to use this traditional farmhouse oven. An Aga cookbook is on hand with lots of delicious recipes to try. The dining room sits in the middle of the property and retains the sweeping staircase and a large picture window. The Hind House offers plenty of outside space too with a kennel for dogs, a bike store for keen cyclists, a large-enclosed garden for children to play in and a patio area perfectly placed to enjoy the evening sun and al fresco dining. The complex is surrounded by open countryside and a newly planted broad leaf woodland area, and is only four miles from the pretty village of Brandesburton. Oaklands wedding venue is situated in the 150 acres of woodland that surround the properties. Struncheon Hill Farm is a haven for those who enjoy having fun around water with a river, lake and pond nearby. Fishing, canal cruises and a Jet Ski and Diving School are less than half a mile from the door. Visitors will find locally an 18-hole golf course, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, a parachute and gliding centre, and an RSPB bird sanctuary.
