Forest Lodge is situated in an idyllic setting in a quiet corner of the New Forest, enjoying direct forest access which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Whilst in the grounds of the owner’s home, Forest Lodge has its own parking area and pathway. This detached holiday property stands alone and is not visible from the main house. Stabling and grazing are available for 2 horses on site, with prior arrangement with the owner and there is a grassy children’s play area with football goalposts, rugby posts and other games. The New Forest National Park offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodlands, where ponies and cattle roam free, and is perfect for walking, cycling and riding. You may also see wild deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The New Forest is a genuine walker’s paradise and also a fantastic place for cycling, with miles of traffic free tracks. Farm shops, pubs, tea rooms, an excellent restaurant and a church are within 5 minutes of the property. There is a riding school nearby offering hacks across the forest for both the beginner and more experienced rider. Located in a breathtaking setting, completely enveloped in the rolling countryside which is has wildlife in abundance, this attractive, brick and flint holiday cottage makes a romantic and peaceful retreat, ideal for couples and walkers. As the name suggests, Drovers Cottage was formerly a place of rest for drovers (modern day livestock transporters), who travelled hundreds and hundreds of miles with their animals and needed somewhere to rest. The group of fir trees, which still remain to this day, were an easily recognisable landmark even from afar. The fields surrounding the cottage are of archaeological interest, as they were used as Roman camps and often oyster shells can be found, these were brought in barrels from the coast for the Roman warriors to eat, and they tossed the shells into the fields.
Having been totally renovated, Drovers Cottage offers tasteful and well-presented accommodation, and is within easy walking distance to the quaint thatched-roof village, with its shop, beautiful church and two pubs serving good food. Garden Cottage 1 is one of two self-catering properties situated within the owners’ beautiful gardens. Garden Cottage 1 is a cosy ground floor holiday home surrounded by rolling countryside situated in between the town of Haslemere and the village of Liphook. Sleeping two, it has a bedroom with kingsize bed, and a lovely bathroom with bath and shower over. Looking out to the garden is a light and airy open plan kitchen/diner and living room/conservatory with everything you could need for a very comfortable break away including full kitchen and Smart TV.
The cottage is located on the edge of the much prized village of Bramshott just 2 miles from Liphook village offering a range of local shopping, including a supermarket and mainline station. The larger village of Grayshott is 3 miles away offering an extensive collection of day to day shopping needs including a popular butcher and independent vintner, doctor’s surgery, two mini supermarkets and a collection of restaurants and a public house. Haslemere also 5 miles away with a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
