The kitchen/diner offers everything you’ll need for whipping up delicious meals with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. While cooking, chefs can chat to other guests sitting at the large farmhouse table in the dining area, where there is also a Smart TV. A traditional Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and toasty and is the perfect spot for your four-legged friend to curl up in front of. There is also a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and toilet. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious kingsize with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet and two double bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet.

Take a stroll to the nearby brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection; there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich ’Oare Wildlife Marshes’ is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

The famous city of Canterbury is a short drive, where guests can experience the history and culture of this beautiful city, shop on the cobbled high street and enjoy evenings in the many restaurants and bars on offer. For a trip further afield, guests can take a ferry from Dover to the port of Calais in France, enjoy lunch in the city or take time for sightseeing. The local animal reserve of Howletts, known for contributing to the conservation of endangered wildlife, offers the opportunity to see lions, tigers, monkeys and much more. Kingfisher Oast is a Grade II listed building forming part of a country estate in the heart of Hollingbourne village.
The oast was used for the storage of hops, and there are cute markings in one of the bedrooms recording the hop pickers activities dating back to the mid 1700s. The cottage has three bedrooms, all ensuite and a lovely sociable open plan living space on the ground floor. A bottle of English wine awaits your arrival.
In the grounds is a shared outdoor heated swimming pool, open in the summer months, and also a shared table tennis table and pool table.There is garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ to enjoy alfresco meals in the garden.

There is a vast array of walks and cycling routes around the area, guests are welcome to bring bikes and store them in the cycle storage area. Take a ferry trip over to France from Dover to Calais, or by train from Ashford through the Channel Tunnel, and enjoy sightseeing. The Cottage has commanding, stunning views across the English Channel. This attractive, spacious, family home for all seasons is the ideal property for a relaxing holiday with both friends or relatives.

There is a private hot tub at The Cottage, and the property offers 2 games rooms, 1 in the house with children’s toys, a library, games and 2 table football tables. There is a large, second games room in the garage next to the house which offers a number of activities including: table tennis, pool table, darts, bows and arrows, basketball (outside the garage). These games rooms also feature a kitchenette with a fridge, and seating area with a large sofa, ideal for all ages. Please note this games room is not heated.
A decked terrace runs the length of the property, an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or relax after a brisk winter walk in front of a glowing log burner in the cosy living room, overlooking the frothing waves. Four of the six bedrooms have sea views and the other two have attractive garden views.
The white chalk cliff above St Margaret’s Bay is said to be the first place the sun reaches each morning on mainland Britain! The beach is famous for being the closest point to France and is the spot where Channel swimmers begin their marathon 21 mile swim.
The village itself offers good pubs, restaurants and local shop within walking distance. The coastal path leads to the famous White Cliffs of Dover, gateway to England and now one of the UK’s protected Heritage coasts offering some of the best cliff coastal walking in the country. The lighthouse is the place where Marconi transmitted his first radio broadcast to France. Closer to France than London, bring a passport, catch a ferry from Dover and visit the French markets in Calais and Boulogne for the day.

The country style yet modern decor greets you as you enter the stunning property and is found through-out. The living room presents comfy sofas (one of which is a sofa-bed) and a good size TV with Blu-ray player and CD player (with a selection of both CDs and DVDs to enjoy). It also features a real wood burner which helps create a relaxing space to enjoy after a long day of exploring. Leading into the fully equipped kitchen, you will find everything required to rustle up a meal for family or friends, which can be enjoyed on the perfectly situated table and chairs in the middle of the open plan room. The country style kitchen oozes warmth and creates a homely atmosphere. Take the stairs to reveal two immaculately presented bedrooms on the first floor; one with a kingsize bed which can be split into two singles, and a double room both with plenty of storage space. The family bathroom can also be found on the first floor which boasts a shower, toilet and basin. There is a second toilet and basin downstairs. The rear doors lead out onto the patio, which then takes you to the stunning garden with a small pond. Together with the outside furniture and the charcoal barbeque (charcoal not supplied) this is a gorgeous space to dine al fresco and to enjoy the countryside sun. There is also a summer house complete with kids’ games table and dart board.

Gull House sits on the border of Lydd-on-Sea overlooking Dungeness and its picturesque shingle beach. Dungeness is a tiny fishing hamlet at the southernmost point of Kent, but it certainly does have a lot to offer! Perfect for families wanting a beach holiday, ramblers and dog walkers for long walks or bird watchers with RSPB Dungeness nature reserve nearby. If you prefer to hire a bike in Dungeness, you can cycle over Europe’s largest expanse of shingle.

Running alongside the property during the day is the steam railway so you will be able to wave at tourists or locals as they head across the landscape to explore further. This is just one of the exciting quirks that the landscape has to offer. A hop over the tracks leads you to the local pub within a few steps along with a fresh seafood shop also selling other groceries opposite. You have everything to hand to be able to relax and enjoy your stay. Should you wish to explore further afield then towns such as Rye, Camber, New Romney, and Ashford are all a short drive away and offer a variety of other attractions. Camber and its sand dunes stretching for miles offer an alternative to the shingle and the historic town of Rye with its cobbled streets and historic buildings makes for a great day out. Hythe to the east and Hastings to the west are both worth a visit.

Here chic eateries, galleries, vintage shops and chilled-out cafés rub shoulders with traditional seaside delights: candyfloss stands; fish and chip shops; seafood stalls. The reinvigorated Harbour Arm is home to stylish spots to eat and drink. Just five minutes from the Old Town you will find emporiums of everything antique, old fashioned and unusual at RG Scott’s Furniture Market and Junk Deluxe. The town’s Theatre Royal is the second oldest in the country, while the Tom Thumb Theatre is one of the smallest theatres in the world. August brings an explosion of colour and sound, as Margate’s vibrant, annual carnival procession snakes through the town over Margate Soul Weekend.
