Consisting of three cottages, Horseshoe Cottage (ref UKC410), Dairy Cottage (ref UKC409) and Saddler’s Cottage (ref UKC408), this is a great location for families and friends to enjoy a fun filled holiday in the Kentish country. Decorated and furnished to a good standard, all the cottages feature Wi-Fi, comfortable living accommodation and each cottage has an enclosed, private garden with patio. Saddlers Cottage and Dairy Cottage also have the additional benefit of hot tubs to enjoy all year round.
There is a vast array of walks and cycling routes around the area, guests are welcome to bring bikes and store them in the cycle storage area. Attractions in Kent include the famous city of Canterbury, boasting a stunning cathedral, dominant city walls, boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Take a ferry trip over to France from Dover to Calais, or by train from Ashford through the Channel Tunnel, and enjoy sightseeing. Dover Castle sits proudly overlooking the town and is well worth a visit. Known as the ‘Key to England’, the castle boasts 2000 years of history and includes a Roman lighthouse, Saxon church and a Norman keep. Travel up the coast to the fishing town of Deal and sample fish and chips on the promenade or enjoy a stroll at Viking Bay in Broadstairs. Beach 4 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

This beautiful holiday property is situated opposite the stunning Wesgate and Birchington Golf Club and is just a 6-minute walk to the golden sandy beach of West Bay beach. The Fairway has spacious south facing patio area ideal for a glass of wine in the sun, leading to lawns with gardens. Accommodating up to twelve guests made up of larger family groups. The living room has patio doors opening to a south facing patio area where guests can enjoy the magnificent sunsets. With plenty of comfort to choose from within five bedrooms, bedroom 3 is accessed via a wooden sliding door in bedroom 2, and bedroom 5 has a door leading to a large, south west facing balcony with panoramic views towards Birchington and the sea. All areas secured with fitted gates to ensure safe area for children and pets. There is a main driveway with high double gates and space for three cars to park in a line; the second driveway has parking area for two car.
Westgate is ideally located in the centre of Thanet, surrounded by villages and towns, with so much to see and do from bars, restaurants, boutique shops to beaches, plenty of walks and plenty of parks and scenery to take in. With more than adequate travel links via bus and trains you can explore Thanet day by day easily and locally within 30 minutes maximum travel. There is a wide promenade meandering towards Margate Sands in one direction and Minnis Bay via cliff roads and promenade in the opposite direction.
A short 15-minute drive in the area can take you to Westwood Shopping area, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Reculver Towers Park. Historic Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable a little further. The Tourist Information is located next to Turners Contemporary Gallery along from Margate Main Sands with the usual holidaymaker attractions. Westgate has a good range of takeaway outlets, traditional fish and chips, Indian, Chinese, Greek, Thai, Turquish, pizzeria along with numerous good cafés. Westgate was originally a gated community and the architecture of many of the buildings reflect the Edwardian heritage. The quaint parade of shops opposite Westgate Station provides a good range: newsagents, post office and chemists, bakers, butchers, fruit and veg, national supermarket, sweet shops, hairdressers and barbers, beauty salons, bric-a-brac and local charity shops catering for all ages and tastes. The three screen Carlton Cinema offers the latest films screened in a retro style surrounding. Come and experience this traditional array of shops, cafés and more. Margate is close by, which offers Dreamland theme park and the long golden sandy beaches with arcades and bars/cafés spread out along the way. 1 dog welcome. Known as the former estate keepers cottage, Salomons Country Cottage was originally built in the 17th century and has kept its traditional look following its renovations. The cottage has been lovingly restored to a high standard throughout, retaining the period features and introducing modern touches such as an Amazon Echo and Smart TVs in all bedrooms. The three beautifully appointed bedrooms sleep six guests in total, with the master bedroom indulging in extra luxury with an en-suite bathroom, complete with roll-top bath and complimentary toiletries. From the kitchen, doors lead out to your own private courtyard with dining facilities, great for spending summer evenings in the midst of nature.

Salomons Estate was built for Sir David Salomon, the first Jewish Lord Mayor of London in the 1850s by architect Decimus Burton. Set within an envious position, there are 36 acres of rolling gardens, parkland and woods surrounding you. Enjoy strolling around the estate on a sunny day following the woodland walk. This is also the perfect place for your four-legged friend too, as the park and cottage are both dog friendly. The main mansion house on the estate is keeping within its original Victorian feel and boasts glorious décor throughout. The site also has a restaurant, bar, 24 hour reception, gym, Salomons Museum, outdoor terrace area and function rooms which host weddings, celebrations and business meetings.

Nature lovers will enjoy a stay in Leveret Lodge. It is just minutes from the pretty Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve which is a unique area of wetland with marshes, reed beds, lakes and woodland that is home to a rich variety of wildlife, especially water birds. It also has over 6 kilometres of footpaths, including a circular walk around the whole site, with two super pubs on route, to stop off for refreshments.
This is also a great base for touring this exciting part of East Kent. Canterbury is a short drive away, and the lovely traditional coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are also close at hand. You’ll be so spoilt for choice, you’ll want to stay longer!
Inside Leveret Lodge you will find a large, light, bright and spacious open plan living space with high vaulted ceilings, and french doors leading to an enclosed garden overlooking fields and orchars, perfect for young children and the family dog. The dining table comfortanly seats 6 guests, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms add to the comfort and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room for extra guests. Leveret Lodge may accommodate 6 adults with prior arrangement with the owner.

For those looking for a peaceful break, Willow is the perfect choice for either a couple or a family. Enjoy unwinding in a quiet spot to read a book or a family walk with the dog across the beautiful North Downs. This semi-detached, single-storey cottags is situated in the village of Harrietsham with local amenities including a convenience store, pub and restaurant. You will marvel at the beauty that surrounds you here while you spend leisurely time in the shared garden within the owner’s grounds, watching their alpacas, chickens, horse, sheep and pig. Inside, Willow carries on with its rural charm with exposed beams and oak wood flooring. There are two comfortable bedrooms sleeping four guests, and a wheelchair accessible wet room with shower seat.

Willow boasts a wonderful location. The stunning Leeds Castle is just a mile away offering a fabulous day out exploring the castle and gardens, family maze, children’s play area, restaurants and Go Ape. You can easily reach the north and south Kent coastline by car. Some of the favourite spots are the much loved seaside town of Whitstable, famous for oysters and Dymchurch and Hythe offering the light railway to Dungeness. Visit Howletts Wild Animal Park in the north, and Port Lympne Wildlife Park in the south. Hever Castle and Dover Castle are also worth a day out. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 1½ miles.

Whitstable, dubbed the ‘Pearl of Kent’ presents a great opportunity to indulge in sampling oysters for which it is renowned for. Roundwood Hall, for golf, is less than 2½ miles away and there is horse riding at Marberdan Riding Centre, 1 mile.
