With the cottage set on the banks for the River Bain, you have instant access to fishing, so why not bring your tackle for a day down by the river? Dovedale Cottage is ideal for family celebrations with the hot tub, games room in the adjacent garage and gym equipment for work out enthusiasts. There is a large kitchen/dining room which is a fantastic area in which to socialise and entertain. Upstairs are four large bedrooms, all stylishly furnished and fitted with fresh cotton linen, guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep, as well as two bathrooms. In addition, the master bedroom has en-suite facilities. On the ground floor there is a shower room so there will be no waiting around to get ready for the next day’s adventures.
Fancy a walk? Whether long or short, there is a variety of delightful country walks straight from the doorstep. The nearby villages benefit from several lovely pubs serving good old pub food and a variety of local ales. Not forgetting the wonderful Lincolnshire Wolds which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty, home to Cadwell Park Race Circuit and is within easy reach with its beautiful scenic walks and bike trails. Tattershall Lakes are 2 miles away from the property, where you can enjoy water sports, jet skis, fishing and much more during your stay.
Lincoln is nearby, famous for its cathedral, castle, the Magna Carta Centre and the International Bomber Command Centre, and is just 35 minutes away in the car. There’s the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre just around the corner, and the traditional seaside town of Skegness is less than 40 minutes away so bring your bucket and spade for a day on the beach. One of Lincolnshire’s most attractive villages, Woodhall Spa, is only 4 miles away, full of many fine restaurants, home to the National Golf Centre, the last remaining rear projection cinema in the country, an open-air swimming pool, and of course its association with the Dambusters 617 Squadron. Stamford Townhouse is a grade II listed building located in the stunning stone town of Stamford in Lincolnshire, and it’s only a 15-minute walk across the park to the magnificent Burghley House. The house has been designed to sleep up to seven guests over four floors but is ideal for couples wanting to stay too. The house has a well-equipped, well-presented kitchen with laundry facilities too and all the usual mod cons you would expect in a holiday home to make a home cooked meal should you not wish to dine out at the many superb eateries close by. On the same floor is the cosy living room which is a great place to kick back and relax after a day exploring the surrounding areas with a glass of your favourite holiday tipple. There is a bathroom on the first floor, and a unique wet room with a toilet and basin in the basement tunnel (kids love this feature). There is a small courtyard to the rear of the property. The master bedroom is a double, and there is a bunk bedroom which has been slept in by adults too. The second-floor bedroom can be made up as twin beds or as a double. The basement room (it has a window) has a single bed. All bedrooms have very comfortable beds with fresh cotton linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep. There is also the option to request a Z-bed if flexible sleeping arrangements are preferred, by prior arrangement directly with the owner at an additional cost.
Stamford Townhouse is located on a quiet side road just a minute’s walk into Historic Burghley Park and just a short walk into the centre of Stamford. The William Cecil Hotel is just around the corner and has a great restaurant as does the famous George Hotel also a few minute’s stroll towards the centre of town. Apart from all the wonderful trappings that Stamford has to offer, great independent shops and many and varied places to eat and drink plus some really stonking pubs too and theatres and museums it’s only a short drive to Peterborough Cathedral, Rockingham Castle and Rutland Water.
Sacrewell near Wansford has a wonderful animal farm for our younger guests to appreciate. Ferry Meadows near Peterborough is worth a visit too. The area has so much to see and do, whether you are into the historic history of England or enjoy the adrenaline thrill of motorsports, as Northamptonshire is the centre of motorsports, you are 45 minutes from Silverstone. We have the Prebendal Manor in Nassington, private visits can be arranged, and its museum is full of interesting finds. Peterborough Cathedral is somewhere to wonder at as is Burghley House just 6.5 miles up the A1. There are also great street markets in the area at Oundle (Thrs) and Stamford (Fri). Rutland Water is only a 20-minute drive and offers great leisure activities from a waterside stroll, learn to sail, windsurf or hire a bike and cycle around the reservoir stopping off for a well, deserved pint or juice at The Horse and Jockey at Manton.

Rosery is just a 300-yard walk from the beach with a park, play area and paddling pools on the way to the promenade. This will make the property very popular with families wanting to have that traditional seaside holiday. There is plenty of space for all the family, with an enclosed south-facing garden as well to enjoy.
A short stroll takes you into the centre of this popular, traditional resort with its fairground, amusements, seaside shops and supermarkets, as well as a range of restaurants, takeaways and pubs to enjoy meals and drinks out.
Donna Nook is a 15-minute drive north along the coast, and is worth visiting in the seal breeding season during the winter months where there are often around 2000 pups born. They are also frequently spotted along this stretch as you stroll along the beach.
You can catch the coastal bus which will take you for family days out at Butlin’s, Fantasy island or into Skegness, with its pier, where there is something for all the family to enjoy. Pub within 1 mile.

During the breeding season a visit to Donna Nook is very popular, where you can see the seals, walk alongside the dunes and beach. Within walking distance of the property is the wonderful Grange Farm Park. A lovely house tucked away in the countryside with open views and just a short drive to the east coat with its miles of sandy beaches. This is sure to be a favourite with both families and couples, located on the edge of a working farm in Northeast Lincolnshire close to both The Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Cleethorpes a traditional seaside resort. There a many walks and pathways through the local woodland only a few minutes walk from the house.
For days out Market Rasen Racecourse is 15 mins drive, the Cathedral City of Lincoln approximately a 40-minute drive and why not travel north just 25 mins to the Humber Bridge and enjoy a walk over it with spectacular views along the estuary towards Hull. There are many good walks and cycle routes to be had straight from the door of Limber Wold House with a cosy log burner to return after a day exploring the countryside. Beach 14 miles. A lovely family holiday home with five bedrooms and two bathrooms just a stroll from the sandy beach and promenade, as well as the centre of this traditional seaside village. With plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy, including a large sundeck offering you private outdoor space to enjoy which is also a sun trap. A covered area to one side is perfect for al fresco dining and also for some shade if needed.
The sandy beach and promenade is just 100 yards away where you can walk along the prom past all the brightly coloured beach huts from Mablethorpe to Sandilands, with miles of unspoilt beaches perfect for strolling along. You can often spot seals both in the sea and later in the summer as they head to and from the breeding grounds at Donna Nook, and if you are lucky they are occasionally seen on the beach basking in the sun.
Sutton on Sea has something for all the family with a paddling pool, restaurants, two chip shops, cafés and pubs, one of which is on the promenade where you can enjoy refreshments and a meal overlooking the beach. The main bus route runs close by and you can travel to the larger seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness, as well as family days out at Butlin’s or Fantasy Island. Brandon is a lovely family holiday home set just 100 yards from the seafront and the beach, in a residential area. Offering spacious accommodation for all the family to spread out and enjoy, it includes a large garden room with a TV and desk space for remote working, as well as a cinema room where you can sit back and enjoy a film. The front porch is the ideal space for dogs and where muddy boots can be stored. Guests will also have use of a private beach hut, with gas cooking facilities and beach equipment, only a short walk from the house.
Sandilands has been a popular family holiday destination for generations with unspoilt, award-winning, sandy beaches, miles of lovely walks along the coast and brightly coloured beach huts along the promenade, which stretches from Sandilands to Mablethorpe.
Nearby, just 50 yards away, is a shop and café which also serves food. A stroll along the seafront takes you to Sutton-on-Sea about a mile away or you can continue all the way to Mablethorpe which is about another 2 miles along the promenade. For days out you could enjoy the fun of the traditional seaside amusements at Mablethorpe, catch the bus along the coast to Fantasy Island, Butlins or Skegness which has a fairground, amusements, cinema, aquarium, and fun for all the family to enjoy.
