For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Antique hunting can be enjoyed at Horncastle 18 miles away, and Louth offers a lovely traditional market town. Skegness and Ingoldmells with its seaside attractions, is just 2 miles. Situated in a peaceful courtyard on the owner’s non-working farm, just a leisurely stroll from a pub serving food in Dry Doddington, this really charming and comfortable holiday cottage adjoins farm buildings and offers a good quality home from home and a lovely enclosed orchard garden overlooking pastureland. The interesting market town of Newark is 5 miles with its castle, cobbled centre, river trips and famous antiques market. Owl Barn is situated in a peaceful, rural location between Boston and Skegness. The property is also close to RSPB Frampton marsh which is just 20 minutes drive away and is a very popular spot for birdwatchers and nature lovers to visit. Boston, famous for its Stump and for St Botolph’s Church which sits alongside its market place. Situated on a country lane (no through road), this property enjoys some of the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets and is close to the market town of Horncastle, which is also well known for its antique and collectables shops. The Georgian market town of Louth is just 10 miles away and still has three markets a week, as well as boutique shops and cafés. To the east are the year round dog friendly sandy beaches at the traditional seaside resort of Skegness and the city of Lincoln, which is famous for its cathedral, castle and Magna Carta Visitor Centre is a 30-minute drive to the west. The battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Visitor Centre is about 20 minutes away, where the planes can often be spotted over The Lincolnshire Wolds. Beach 18 miles. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water also offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire on-site.
