On the edge of the village of North Willingham, the barns provide an excellent base for exploring. Just 3½ miles from Market Rasen with its world famous racecourse, excellent range of restaurants, pubs, shops and market. Horncastle is renowned for its antique shops and is only a short drive, as is the unspoilt Georgian town of Louth with two busy market days a week. A visit to the sandy beaches at Mablethorpe or Skegness are always worth a day out, as is a visit to Lincoln Cathedral and the Bailgate area used in the filming of the ‘Da Vinci Code’. There are plenty of lovely country walks straight from the doorstep and the quiet country lanes make cycling a real pleasure in the surrounding area.

For those wishing to explore a little further afield, Lincoln, Stamford, Newark, Oakham and Uppingham offer antique centres, National Trust houses, castles and museums, and numerous pubs and restaurants abound to cater for all tastes. Those interested in WWII can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, both only a short drive away. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water also offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire on-site. There a many walks and pathways through the local woodland only a few minutes walk from the house.
For days out Market Rasen Racecourse is 15 mins drive, the Cathedral City of Lincoln approximately a 40-minute drive and why not travel north just 25 mins to the Humber Bridge and enjoy a walk over it with spectacular views along the estuary towards Hull. There are many good walks and cycle routes to be had straight from the door of Limber Wold House with a cosy log burner to return after a day exploring the countryside. Beach 14 miles.
