Set in a large garden means there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, and there is a footpath close by providing a short cut towards the pub. For days out, visit the coast for miles of sandy beaches or head inland, 28 miles to the city of Lincoln, with its spectacular cathedral, castle, popular Bailgate area for shopping, restaurants and bars. Or head down Steep Hill to the Brayford Waterside where you can watch the boats cruise by. After a day exploring you can cosy up in front of the wood burner or relax on the large terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet, with very little light pollution its great for the star gazers among you. Attractions in the area include, Cadwell park race track, Market Rasen Horse racing, Woodhall Spa gold as well as home of the dam busters, Horncastle, antique centre of Lincolnshire and Spilsby Sir John Franklins birth place. Sommersby Tennysons birth place, Coningsby home of the Battle of Briton flight and the Euro fighter. Best of all the Lincolnshire wolds, go out the gate, turn right and you dont have to see a main road let alone cross one.

There is plenty to see and do in and around the area. Less than a mile away is a good pub for families, which serves both food and drink. The closest beach for lazy summer walks, building sandcastles, sunbathing or indulging in bracing winter wanderings, is 10 minutes away by road, and the nearest golf course, North Shore, is the same distance away. Keen fishermen will enjoy the coarse fishing lakes just 300 yards away.
The town of Skegness has all the facilities you would expect of an established seaside town and modern commercial centre - shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, cafés, cinema, theatre, fun fair, seaside amusements, park, aquarium, sports and fishing facilities, as well as a hospital and excellent road and rail links. Nearby Kirton has a good range of amenities including shops and pubs which is only a 10-minute walk away. Situated in between the historic towns of Spalding and Boston, you can visit the famous Boston ’Stump’, enjoy numerous good restaurants, shops, cafés and bars as well as the weekly markets and river boat rides.
For days out, the seaside resort of Skegness is approx. 45 minutes, and Hunstanton in Norfolk about an hour’s drive. Major cities surrounding within a 35-mile radius. Nature reserves at Frampton RSPB (10 mins car journey) and Gibraltor Point offer opportunity to see the migrating birds and wildlife as well as many miles of excellent walks. For cycle enthusiasts, there are some great cycle routes close by. While you’re surrounding yourself in romantic luxury see if you can spot the abundance of wildlife, including, squirrels, owls, bats, dragonflies, rabbits, robins, woodpeckers, various birds of prey and the occasional muntjac deer.

Antique hunting can be enjoyed at Horncastle 18 miles away, and Louth offers a lovely traditional market town. Skegness and Ingoldmells with its seaside attractions, is just 2 miles. A lovely location for a family holiday close to the beach. Sandilands has been popular for many generations of families to visit the coast and this lovely bungalow is situated in a quiet residential area approximately 500 yards walk from the beach – you can see the dunes from the back garden. Within a short walk is the beach, shop, pub, nature reserve and Sandilands colourful beach huts. For days out you can walk or cycle along the seafront to Sutton on Sea or further on to the traditional seaside resort of Mablethorpe. A bus trip takes you along the coast to Anderby Creek, the café/observatory at Huttoft or stop at Chapel St Leonards. Fantasy Island, Butlins and Skegness are all within 30 minutes’ drive for family days out or enjoy the bus ride to them along the coast. With 3 bedrooms, a large conservatory and an enclosed lawned garden to the rear of the bungalow, this is a great location for a family seaside holiday. Shop, pub, beach 500 yds.

There is something for all the family in the area to enjoy with the antique centres and regular markets at Hemswell Cliff closeby, Gainsborough is just 12 miles away and the city of Lincoln famous for its cathedral, castle and vibrant Brayford Wharf area is just 25 minutes’ drive. Also within half an hour is Market Rasen races, the Lincolnshire Wolds where you can explore the beautiful Wolds villages with many good tea rooms and pubs on route for refreshment. Newark with its marina and show ground is just 45 minutes’ drive. From the door there are many good walks and cycle routes throughout the area. Shop and pub ½ mile.

Owl Barn is situated in a peaceful, rural location between Boston and Skegness. The property is also close to RSPB Frampton marsh which is just 20 minutes drive away and is a very popular spot for birdwatchers and nature lovers to visit. For those visiting shows at Sheepgate Equestrian, Owl barn will make the perfect base as it only 2 miles away. Boston, famous for its Stump and for St Botolph’s Church which sits alongside its market place. There is also the Maud Foster Windmill which is always worth visiting, along with many good shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs for refreshment.
To the north is the traditional seaside resort of Skegness, great for a family day out with its fun fair, amusements, pier, aquarium, and long sandy beaches for strolling alongside the sea. After a day out you can return to your own cosy wood burner and a private hot tub where you can sit back and relax with open views across the fields. There are many good walks and cycle routes throughout the area, so there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. Beach 17½ miles. Shop 1.5 miles and pub 1 mile.

This lovely barn is on the edge of the family farm, which has been superbly restored in 2021 and extended to provide great family sized accommodation with space for everyone to enjoy. Ideal for families staying together with two separate staircases to the first floor, a large south facing patio with 15ft swim spa, as well as a lawned garden for fun family games.
Just 5 miles from the sandy beaches at Chapel St Leonards and within 15 minutes’ drive you have the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, Fantasy Island, Butlins, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve and The Lincolnshire Wolds. A footpath through the field takes you to the village pub where you can have food, and is a 10-minute walk away, before you return to soak in the swim spa after a busy day out. For those wishing to enjoy a very popular gastro pub there is one at Skendleby approximately a 10-minute drive away.
You can even bring your family pets, with up to three dogs welcome, but please be aware there could be cattle or sheep in adjacent fields. There are very good walks from the door with the area also being very popular for cyclists. Beach 5 miles and pub 1 mile.
