Oyster Catcher (UK32200) is the larger of the barns boasting three comfortable bedrooms, offering a spacious retreat for larger families or groups. Each property benefits from their own private garden and 4 of them have their own hot tubs too (Sandpiper does not).
Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is within walking distance and is well known for its unspoilt coastline that runs southwards from the edge of Skegness to the mouth of the Wash. The impressive views along with the sheer scale and diversity of wildlife makes it well worth visiting at all times of the year. There is also a visitor centre and café for refreshment.
Skegness is a fantastic traditional seaside resort and has something for all the family to enjoy from its funfair, amusements, aquarium and award winning sandy beaches to its range of restaurants, bars and nightlife. Watching the Banger racing is sure to make for a fun family day out and in the summer you can enjoy a donkey ride along the beach. An 18-hole links golf course is also within a mile.
Alternatively head inland to the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Natural Beauty, and explore the market towns of Louth, Market Rasen and Horncastle. Enjoy the motor racing at Cadwell Park, the horse racing at Market Rasen or even a day out in the City of Lincoln, famous for its Cathedral and Castle. Enjoying a rural location on the edge of the owners farm there are lovely walks straight from the door with the nearby nature reserve offering many miles of peaceful walks. Beach 1 mile. The perfect choice for a couple or small family, Red Kite Cottage offers cosy, comfortable accommodation in a lovely rural location. Red Kite Cottage is a sweet little limestone, terraced cottage in rural Northamptonshire. The property is just minutes away from the sensational and historic town of Stamford, a popular location for the filming of a number of TV shows, including an adaptation of George Eliot’s ’Middlemarch’. With a wonderfully cosy open fire, large enclosed garden, and all the creature comforts you could want, you are well catered for whatever time of year you choose to visit. This lovely little house is dog friendly and has a footpath that passes directly outside, taking you out across the local fields where you can enjoy the peace and quiet or spot the local wildlife. This detached log cabin lies in Kenwick Woods, near the town of Louth. Set in over 300 acres of woodlands, with lovely walks straight from the lodge and cycle routes that take you out towards the coast or inland across the scenic Lincolnshire Wolds. The park also boasts an 18-hole golf course, which makes its way through mature woodland, negotiating no less than 9 lakes, with a hotel bar and restaurant about ½ mile walk. There is excellent coarse and fly fishing nearby, with 15 lakes within a 5-mile radius of Louth (permit required). The nearby Georgian market town of Louth has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a cinema and leisure centre to enjoy. The seal breeding grounds at Donna Nook are about a 20-minute drive and are always worth a day out in breeding season. The traditional seaside resorts of Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea are about a 20-minute drive to the east, with miles of quiet sandy beaches to explore. Beach 14 miles.
