There’s a narrow gauge railway that runs past the pitch and putt golf course down to the pine woods and wide sandy beach with its candy-coloured beach huts. From the quay itself, there are boat trips to fish or see the seals, and you may also see people “gillying”, the local term for catching crabs by hand line.
