Set amongst beautiful countryside on a working farm which is on the borders of the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and Lancashire. This lovely barn conversion, which is attached to the owner’s home, is in an elevated position and as such enjoys outstanding far reaching views over the fells towards Ingleborough, and on a clear day you can also see the Lake District hills, making for some amazing sunsets. Thoughtfully furnished throughout, it makes for a cosy year round holiday home from which to walk or tour the surrounding area. Ingleton is approximately 3 miles away and offers a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Shops 1 mile, pubs 3 miles.

Based in the picturesque village of Sinnington, this mid-terraced holiday cottage, which lies next to the owners’ home, makes an excellent base from which to explore both moors and coast. The village has a pony trekking centre and the outstanding North York Moors are easily reached by foot or car with excellent walking and cycling direct from the village. Fishing and golf are also available nearby. Visit Castle Howard, Helmsley or Pickering, (with steam railway, 4 miles). Whitby is 32 miles, Scarborough 26 miles and York 30 miles. Shop 2 miles. This former cart store has been converted into a quaint Dale’s stone cottage set just off the village green in Bellerby. With its streams and mill race running through Bellerby it’s a picturesque setting at the edge of Wensleydale. Entering the front door into the living/dining room with exposed stonework, flagstone flooring, beams and a large inglenook fireplace, the cottage offers an abundance of character and charm. The two settees set around the open fire offer a cosy feel while watching the Smart TV in Holly Cottage.
A dining table and chairs are positioned to the rear of the room. Going through to the kitchen, all the appliances, crockery, and utensils you need are available to rustle up some cosy meals while staying at Holly Cottage. The characterful staircase from the living room has uneven, deep treads with a rope banister to guide you up towards the two bedrooms. Both rooms offer comfortable beds, one being a double, the other offering bunk beds suitable for children with attractive quality linen and hand and bath towels available for each Guest. The compact shower room has a shower cubicle with a deep step in/out, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.
To the rear of the property there is an enclosed picket fenced garden which includes a lawn area and flower beds, along with a stone patio h a table, chairs, and a bench to enjoy sitting at while taking in a morning coffee or firing up the barbecue for an alfresco supper. The South facing front garden is not secured for dogs but guests can happily sit there on the bench and watch the world go by. The shared front driveway which offers parking for 1 car. The attached property, Cherry Tree Cottage, has allocated parking for 2 cars on the same driveway. Both properties can be used by larger Groups if required. Please ask about this option.
Bellerby is a village situated on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales National Park with a local pub serving a selection of real ales but unfortunately no food and although there is no shop or amenities as such in the village the lovely market town of Leyburn is just over a mile away where an array of individual shops, pubs, cafés, and restaurants are available. If you are looking to get out and stretch your legs, whether walking or cycling, there are abundant established public footpaths, bridleways, and cycle routes available in the local vicinity with spectacular scenery, open countryside, and pretty Yorkshire villages to explore.
Within easy driving distance there is an array of places to visit whether it’s the historic Castle Bolton, Richmond Castle, Jervaulx Abbey or the stunning Aysgarth Falls, there is something to suit everyone’s taste. The children and adults alike will love Forbidden Corner with its quirky folly garden to explore or for the more adventurous why not visit the theme park, Lightwater Valley. Whatever you choose to do please immerse yourself fully in the Yorkshire way of life – once you experience it you’ll be wanting to return where a warm welcome to you will always be found.

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, and have been well kept, to ensure a relaxing environment. They are a real haven in a lovely Yorkshire town. Each cottage retains much character, with old stone arches, fireplaces and beams carefully retained. Immaculately maintained, warm, clean and superbly well-equipped with free high speed Wi-fi, these cottages are truly a ‘home from home’. No wonder so many visitors return time and again. The owners provide plenty of helpful information on the huge choice of places to visit, as well as menus from the local restaurants. Brewers Cottage nestles in the grounds of Cropton Brewery in the sleepy hamlet of Cropton within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Dating back almost 200 years this terraced holiday cottage offers modern, contemporary accommodation, yet retains many of the original features. The brewery was developed in 1984 and offers tours to sample some of the fine ales on offer. Ideally located for walking, cycling and exploring the heather clad moors. If coastal walks and stunning beaches are in order, you’ll find the Heritage Coast just 18 miles away, including Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Horcum View is a holiday bungalow located in the heart of Lockton with views over the North Yorkshire Moors. Peaceful location, with the occasional sound of the steam train chugging its way through the valley. Take a journey on the steam train (Levisham station ½ mile) through the heart of the National Park. North Yorkshire Moors are home to abbeys, castles and cycle/bridle paths. Each cottage offers a ‘Drive/walk, good food guide’, compiled by the owners to maximise visitors’ holiday enjoyment.
Among Scarborough’s many attractions are a Sea Life Centre and Theatre in the Round (offering productions and films for all ages) as well as plenty of restaurants, cafés and evening entertainment. Sea trips are available from the harbour and coarse fishing is enjoyed at nearby Throxenby Mere.
The Forge Valley Woodland Reserve lies ½ mile walk from the cottages and quiet lanes lead directly to Langdale Forest. Golf courses and riding stables are found locally and the more energetic might like to tackle the nearby Cleveland Way long distance footpath, with its stunning views over land and sea. The inviting moorland countryside and picturesque villages of ‘Heartbeat’ fame are a joy to explore and a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway is a must.
A 30-minute drive up the coast leads to the many delights of Robin Hood’s Bay and the old port of Whitby, a fascinating historic town, traditionally associated with Count Dracula and in whose attractive harbour tall ships often lie at anchor. The great houses of Sledmere, Burton Agnes and Castle Howard are all within 20 miles of the cottages.

Granary Farm Cottages lie on the south facing slopes of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. This former farm is 1 mile from the village of Sawdon. Set in large landscaped gardens it is a quiet and relaxing holiday base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Perfect for walks and cycle rides into the forest from the doorstep. Great for bird watching in the gardens or forest, with Raptor View Point a short drive away. The area also has dark skies so ideal for avid stargazers. There is an award-winning butchers in the neighbouring village of Brompton. North Yorkshire Water Park is 6 miles from the properties.
