On a peaceful development, with off-street parking outside, this is in a wonderful location for exploring Whitby and the beautiful North York Moors, with a desirable enclosed garden so you can enjoy al fresco dining in the sunshine.
Bernie’s Watch is located just next to part of the Cinder Track, a public footpath which was formerly the railway leading to the coastal towns of Robin Hood’s Bay, Ravenscar, and Scarborough – ideal for walkers or cyclists. The house backs onto an open green area, with the clifftops and the footpath down to the beach just a short stroll away.
Whitby is the perfect base to explore the great outdoors, with beautiful sandy beaches, forests and the rolling heather covered hills of the North York Moors. On the ground floor you have an inviting and cosy living room, as well as the modern kitchen which is open plan with the dining area. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, it even has an air fryer and an electric mixer so that you can cook and bake to your heart’s content, with glass doors opening out onto the garden. The garden has a BBQ ready for sunny days as well as a lockable shed which can be used for storing any outdoor equipment such as boots, bikes or surfboards.

The views from up here stretch over the nearby football club and beyond the houses to the sea.
The town’s colourful history is one of the many draws to Whitby. So little of the old town has changed over hundreds of years. There are still ships being built where Captain Cook’s vessel the Endeavour was handmade back in 1764 ready for the first voyage to Australia, you can now sail across the harbour in a replica or have your dinner in a restaurant on the ship in the harbour. You can explore the winding streets that Dracula used to roam according to Bram Stoker’s famous book, which has inspired movies and TV shows as well as the annual Goth events. On the clifftop take a moment to walk beneath the arch made from a whale’s jawbone; the whales visit Whitby at the end of the summer much to the delight of lucky boat trippers. The town is very proud of its seafaring heritage, enjoy the famous Fortune’s kippers, fresh crab or award-winning fish and chips.
If you desire a property that will exceed your expectations and will provide you with all your home comforts and more, then Bernie’s Watch could be the property for you. A great base for exploring the wonders of this beautiful corner of Yorkshire. Shop, pub, and restaurant within ½ mile.
