The two bays are very contrasting, but one thing they both have in common is that they both have an excellent sandy beach. Scarborough has lots to offer, from excellent restaurants, shopping, a waterpark with a large wave pool and outdoor infinity pool, and of course the cricket festival.

    The North York Moors National Park is also home to the Dalby Forest, with over 8,000 acres of woodland to explore and plenty of cycle and walking trails for all abilities. The Dalby Forest mountain biking track has hosted the world cup, so you will find some challenging runs there. It is also the home of the Go Ape adventure park, which is great for the children.

    Within the hour you can be in the medieval city of York, with its picturesque streets and historic buildings. The city is voted every year as being one of the top 10 cities to visit.
