Longleat is well worth a visit, and the city of Bristol, with the SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge, is within easy reach.

The route primarily follows a series of off road tracks through wooded areas including Staple Park Wood, Piddle Wood and Birkenhall Wood. Castle Neroche and Staple Hill parks being of particular note where great walks and views can be enjoyed. Just ¾ of a mile away is the wonderful Greyhound Inn, a great country pub serving food and drinks, or a short drive takes you to a fabulous Italian restaurant as well as more amazing local inns!
    The county town of Taunton is around 10 minutes’ drive away and has a host of shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. National Trust properties surround the area and the Great Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead is a must do for kids and adults.
