The town also hosts a popular Christmas market in early December. National Trust properties nearby include Ickworth Park, Oxburgh Hall and Anglesey Abbey and Gardens. Newmarket is perfect for an exciting day at the races. The historical university city of Cambridge, and Ely with its 12th century cathedral are both worth a visit. Golf is available locally.
