The Wyre Forest, with all its walks and cycle tracks, is just 7 minutes drive away.
    The Old Rope Works manufactured hand made rope and twine from 1801 to 1972. A display of its equipment and products is on display in Bewdley museum. The building has been lovingly transformed and restored into a luxurious, spacious, bright, contemporary, cosy home whilst retaining the huge character and quirkiness of the original factory. There are original beams, hard floors, bare brick walls throughout, and the working bell tower that once called in its workers.
    On the ground floor you have a contemporary kitchen with breakfast seating area and 30" TV, a dining room with the double bedroom off to the left and the luxurious bathroom off to the right, fitted with bath walk-in shower and underfloor mood lighting. On the first floor you have a spacious living room with the original bell still in the roof, double glazed sash windows and cast iron radiators, the master bedroom with en-suite shower room and final single bedroom lead off from the living room. At the rear of the property, through a gated entrance is an enclosed courtyard with very high walls, ideal for children and pets alike. It features garden furniture and a gas BBQ, a real sun trap all afternoon until sunset so great to relax and dine al fresco. There is also a store off the courtyard for cycling and fishing equipment with a wash down hose outside.
    The property is in a superb location with the Severn Valley Railway 50 yards from the property and local shop, pubs and restaurant just 100 yards away. There is parking for 2 cars on the property’s private driveway.

    Nearby villages include Stanford Bridge, Abberley and Great Witley which provides local amenities such as Post Offices, farm shops and of course public houses. Should you be looking for activities nearby, you are spoilt for choice. A firm favourite and within a 19 minute drive is The West Midlands Safari Park with its array of exotic animals and close up encounters. All the family including the pooches will love a visit to the nearby Wyre Forest, within 15 minutes you can be in the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country. You can all explore the arboretum to find the unusual Whitty Pear and you can of course refuel at their on-site café if you forget to pack the picnic. The young at heart can even ‘Go Ape’ on the treeline assault course for some high adrenaline fun. In addition to this there is variety of walking, cycling, running and horse trails available, there’s plenty of ways to explore the forest. No one must be left out when visiting the forest either, even those who have reduced mobility can join in all the fun as a ‘tramper scooter’ can be hired. Pampered pooches will be glad to know that the forest has even got a dog wash on-site to keep them pampered after a muddy day of exploring.
    Nearby is The city of Worcester which offers guests an abundance of retail and leisure facilities, eateries and horse racing on the banks of the River Severn. The traditional market town of Tenbury Wells is only a few miles away and provides excellent high-street shopping, cute eateries and of course a handful of traditional watering holes.
