The property Y Graiglwyd (Welsh for Grey Rock) was built by the Marquis of Anglesey as a shooting lodge for his guests. It sits in a prominent position with lovely sea views down towards Bull Bay. It is an imposing four story Victorian property originally built in mid-1800’s and situated in the wonderful seaside village of Bull Bay. It is ideally located for touring the Anglesey Coastal Path, which sits just behind the house and is a two-minute walk to get onto. With many local activities and sights right on the doorstep along with the colourful Cemaes Bay & historic Amlwch harbour, it is the perfect location to bring the family or a group of friends for a fabulous break. There is a free public car park opposite the property and this a ideal base to tour Anglesey, North Wales and Snowdonia.
The interior of the property is modern boutique mixed with nautical, so plenty of stripes and references to the seaside location, but with a mix of purpose sourced antique and vintage furniture and modern pieces to give it a lovely luxury but homely feel. Each of the stylish bedrooms have their own theme, all bar one with fabulous sea views.
The house has large windows making it a light and airy space to chill.
The four-floor property can be accessed from the front via a gated entrance with a Victorian wrought iron table and chairs, ideal for an early morning cuppa to watch the world go by and take in the view down to the bay. You can also access the garden via side steps. To say the owners of this property are dog enthusiasts is an understatement and as a result they understand that a happy dog leads to a happy household, so they have gone all out for your fluffy friends, creating them their very own bedroom. Ty Halen occupies possibly one of the most desirable spots on the whole of the Llyn Peninsula. Set over three levels, this Morfa Nefyn beach house is in a prominent elevated position a few yards above Morfa Nefyn’s magnificent beach close to Nefyn Golf Club and opposite the entrance to the Coastal Path.

Arrive into the ground floor hallway with adjacent games area and garage. In addition to the main ground floor entrance, there is a side path with gentle slope and three widely spaced steps leading to the side gate, allowing access along level path at rear to additional entrance on first floor. A spiral staircase leads from the ground floor to the open plan living and elevated dining area. This light-filled, welcoming room has a glass gable end with bi-fold doors opening onto the decking, making it the perfect spot for holiday dining, from casual breakfasts to evening BBQs. The sea grey sofas, white walls and an eclectic mix of coast-linked objects of the living area, all make for an elegant muted style, a perfect backdrop to the stunning and breathtaking views.

The grounds, slightly overlooked in part, have fabulous views and are entirely enclosed by a boundary wall and mature hedge with a lockable side gate. Why not unwind in the hot tub with views across the sea, the lifeboat station and Anglesey. Sleeping ten guests, it can accommodate groups of family and friends, with a well-equipped galley kitchen and bedrooms on two floors.

The Llyn coastal path is within a few metres of the house, you will find fantastic beaches on the Llyn Peninsula. Step out onto Morfa Nefyn beach and wander across the shoreline at low tide to Porthdinllaen, or dip down to many of the quiet coves dotted along the coastal path. A short drive away are the famous Whistling Sands where children will be delighted to hear that the sands really do whistle! Visit the popular beaches of Aberdaron, Abersoch and Llanbedrog or try wind surfing at Hell’s Mouth, a huge wild bay and a wonderful stretch of sand. Nefyn Golf Club is situated on the headland just above Porthdinllaen. Its dramatic location makes it the most photographed course in Wales and a must for any serious golfer - or anyone with a set of golf clubs looking for a challenge.

This beautiful Victorian country house, formerly stables and a groom’s flat, sits between its own large garden and the cobbled courtyard of Lochside House. Ideal for family gatherings and parties, it is also the perfect base for exploring Northumberland and the Scottish Borders with its fine beaches, historic buildings and stunning scenery. The large secluded garden and inner dog proof yard is complete with BBQ, firepit, garden furniture, badminton and a large hot tub for relaxing in, or for family and friends to splash wildly in. To the front there is a beautiful outlook over the SSSI Yetholm Loch wildlife reserve with a backdrop of green rounded hills. The surrounding parkland grazes horses and rare breed Soay sheep. Across the whole valley are extensive new native tree plantings along with other associated environmental works. Farm and woodland walks ideal for exploring, nature lovers and dog walks.
Inside, you can enjoy the comfort of soft sofas surrounded by period furniture and paintings, lots of books, an open fire, grand piano, Wi-Fi, television and a DVD player. There’s a special place for everyone in this spacious house. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric range and a large dining table. An adjacent barn houses a shared snooker table and dart board. The lawns of Lochside House also have a shared trampoline and swing.
The Yetholm Loch wildlife reserve can be reached along beautiful woodland walks and is home to many species of birds and animals. If you are lucky, you may see an osprey swooping down to catch a fish or an otter playing in the sunshine. There is a family boat which guests are welcome to use for fishing, or for the fun of rowing surrounded by wonderful scenery. The village of Yetholm is a couple of miles away with pubs, garage, butcher, grocery store and post office. Kelso is only 7 miles away with supermarkets and a wide range of other shops. Edinburgh and Alnwick with its famous gardens are about an hour’s drive. Extensive hill walking and beautiful beaches within a thirty minute drive.

Scarning Dale House is an elegant property occupying a peaceful and relaxing setting set amidst 25 acres of landscaped gardens with waterfall and pond, meadow and woodland with lake. Each of the holiday cottages is separately set within the grounds, although Lodge Cottage (B6008) is an annexe attached to The Lodge (B4013). Each has its own garden and seating area, ideal for couples and families alike. The grounds are abundant with nature and wildlife, with designated trails and pathways leading through meadow and woodland, offering excellent walking and bird watching opportunities direct from doorstep. Market town of East Dereham, 2½ miles, has weekly street market, shops, restaurants, cinema, swimming pool and golf course. Gressenhall Rural Life Museum and Union Farm, 3 miles, offers an interesting day out. Thetford Forrest Park with miles of walking and cycle trails to explore and ’Go-Ape’ adventure playground and assault course, 20 miles. Many places of interest and historical houses and sites surround the area, Houghton and Holkham Hall, the Royal Sandringham Estate and museum, Walsingham Shrine and Abbey ruins and Castle Acre and Priory ruins. Traditional seaside resort of Hunstanton, Wells Next The Sea, Sheringham and Cromer offer an array of attractions for all ages. It was here in 1259 that Sir Richard de Hartle was issued a Papal Bull by Pope Alexander II, allowing him to appoint his own chaplain. Offa’s Dyke National Trail runs close by to the town, providing a good excuse to get on your boots and head off for a walk, there are vineyards and homemade ice cream suppliers nearby. Guests are also very close to the NT property Powys Castle, with 3 others within 45 minutes, Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. The Welshpool to Llanfair steam railway, Montgomery Canal, and Lake Vyrnwy are all local and well worth a visit. Quad biking, paintballing and horse riding are all available locally, and watersports can be found at Bala Lake and in Llangollen, a 40-minute drive. Historic Shrewsbury is 30-minute drive, and the west Wales coastline is approximately a 1 hour drive. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1¼ miles.
