Set in its own courtyard and having a fabulous hot tub and firepit to enjoy with beautiful countryside views as well as views of the owner’s sheep and horses, surrounding you, you’ll spend hours chilling out here! Stepping inside through the triple bi-fold doors, the open plan studio layout works perfectly for your romantic retreat, with the extremely comfortable, raised kingsize bed enjoying the highest quality sheets for the ultimate night’s sleep. The kitchen area is well equipped and has granite worktops, an electric hob and full-sized oven, fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, allowing you to cook a meal at any time of day and then relax on the sofa with a glass of wine or a cuppa! The shower room has been finished to the same high standard, with a large electric shower and heated towel rail for your comfort. Underfloor heating features throughout making the pod the ideal choice for a holiday at any time of year!
There is a working equestrian facility to the rear and if you can bear to tear yourself away, then you are within driving distance of many superb attractions in south Somerset. Nearby are the great attractions of the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, the Haynes Classical Car Collection, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and Clarks Factory Village. There are numerous historic houses, the cathedral city of Wells and onto the delightful Cheddar Gorge and caves, while further afield is the historic spa city of Bath. There is a wealth of attractions and sights to enjoy and on your return perhaps stroll down to the local award-winning village pub, 1 mile away, to wine and dine.

The Shepherd’s Hut is a wonderful choice for those looking to escape and enjoy life in peaceful surroundings, with wide open countryside just a short stroll away. The property has been equipped with all modern comforts with the added luxury of a private hot tub and fire pit to enjoy after a day out in the countryside.
Situated next to, but totally private from its neighbour The Steading (UK5834), each can be booked together to accommodate families or couples, and each lovingly furnished, enjoying the same attention to detail. Located just 4 miles from the centre of Montrose and a couple of miles from the nearest shop and pub, there is plenty to discover in the area. Glorious sandy beaches in Montrose, Lunan Bay or St Cyrus are wonderful for bracing walks or playing in the sand.
Montrose Basin is a renowned nature reserve and wildlife centre and in the winter, thousands of pink-footed geese make a spectacular sight taking off in the early morning to feed in the surrounding countryside. Away from the coast are the Angus Glens which form the foothills of the Grampian Mountains, with myriad walks and trails to be discovered. Golf, tennis and a leisure pool are in the town itself, or further afield the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen are almost equi-distant and have plenty of shops, eateries and theatres for an alternative day out. Set on picturesque farmland, the same family have been farming here for over 40 years and the glamping site was designed by a family member as it was his ’happy place’ and we think you will soon discover that it is yours too. These bespoke, hand-built shepherd huts provide the perfect getaway for those looking for a great mix of glamping and contemporary facilities. The huts themselves have been designed to offer Romani-caravan style living in that all you will find inside is a beautifully appointed bedroom with a full-size double bed and a wardrobe. Don’t be fooled though, as these pretty little huts offer far more room than a traditional Romani-style caravan and make for a lovely space to relax and unwind. Each of these charming properties comes with access to a shared building housing individual private high-end bathrooms for each of the two units and a well-equipped shared kitchen and dining room. Choose Hedge Betty (the Norfolk slang for a Hedge Sparrow) and enjoy your own hot tub.
You can also bring your two dogs along to this hut, which is beautifully decorated in cool greys. Or choose Jill Hoot (UK36796) (that’s Norfolk for an owl!) which is pet free and therefore perfect for those with allergies and is decorated in a pretty beach-hut blue. Both huts have seating areas in the shared grounds and there is a shared fire pit perfect for toasting marshmallows too. The whole site is so private and secluded that there is very little light pollution, meaning that you will see a sky full of stars laid out like a sparkling blanket above you every night. It also offers daytime views across rolling fields and the chance to get close to nature as you will often find yourself sharing your space with local wildlife such as deer, pheasants and wild rabbits. There are even woodpeckers and buzzards around too, adding to the magic of this truly unique site.
